Margalla horn circuit

AOA guys, recently my margalla's horn has started acting up,

it generally doesn't feel as loud as it should be.

it sometimes stops working, usually when both the headlights and ac are on

sometimes it won't work when the steering wheel is turned

i tested the wires for one of the horns with the multimeter, i connected one probe to the battery positive and the other at the points where the wires plug in, one terminal showed 0.50 volt and the other terminal of the horn showed 11.5 ish volts, this was with everything off.

i am concerned that it should be zero volts at one terminal and 12.9 (battery voltage) at the other, is this normal

another observation, i removed the ground connection at the fender to see if they needed cleaning and during that, one of the corner parking lights turned on at it's own will, it shut off with a click sound when i connected the ground back

its normal - first clean the horn contact and then go about testing the horn itself. it maybe worn out - its used a lot in Pakistan.

the previous horn died a month back, now there is a kabli one

there is another issue which i wanted to discuss, the voltage goes to 12.5 volt when both the headlights and ac are on, as far as i know that is not good, it usually means that the generator needs repairs

our old mechanic has opened a part store so we were able to swap generators but even with the other generator, the situation was just 19-20 improved, is there any possibility that this could be some sort of wiring defect, like bad ground, maybe it is just bad luck, the swapped item was kabli

bad voltage regulator in the alternator - retest with full fielding it - if the voltage goes high your regulator is bad, if the voltage still is low - undo the alternator and check for worn out parts.

the horn of my khyber is also acting a lil weird after last visit to electrician. it is acting like a motorcycle horn with headlights on, i have to rev the car a lil to make it loud, i drive economically just a lil above idle rpm(sometimes lower than idle if car is not knocking) most ov the time and while cruising in 4th or 5th i literly have to push the clutch paddle and rev the car a lil to sound the horn.

it does not go above 13.2 even when revved when the lights and ac are on, though in cold state with no load it goes to 14.2

which parts are normally worn out in an old alternator?

the slip rings, the carbon brushes, the diode pack, bearings. voltage regulator.
