Bro, First, the driver did not know how to drive...that should be obvious. Second, when he was trying to pull away from me on an open road, why the hell was he not able to do so despite having a 1.8 Civic under his control. Chahe jitna marzee maatha driver ho... straight line acceleration to kar he sakta hai.

now see some fact with wide open eyes civic 1.8 140hp beat 2.5 mark x 230 hp (diff is 700cc + 90hp) i strongly recommend and belive tht mark x driver shud have been shoot cuz he let down the FACTs. what u ppl have to say???? i m talking about facts

Liana M13a it is a DOHC engine and produces 89Hp(NOT 94HP) and 116Nm.. it has a gross weight of 1170kgs...and its Power/weight ratio is 76hp/ton

Civic 1.8L its a SOHC engine and produces 140hp and 174Nm.. it has a gross weight of 1250kgs.. and its Power/weight ratio is 112hp/ton

Its Volume and Horsepower doesn't make any difference! All the game is about Power/Weight!! ok suppose, a Car with 2L engine, gross weight 900kg has 200hp,its power/weight is 222hp/ton and another car which has a 3L engine(300hp), gross weight 1600kg, has Power/weight 188hp/ton!! NOW i know half u will still say the 1600kg will win because its got more HP lmao .. only few understand this! the rest are banging there heads in engine displacement!!

Now im talking abt the facts, theres no way a liana can beat civic, Until and Unless the civic driver is not racing or is just letting the kiddo pass :P:P

well it totally depends on the drivers, whoever gets a better launch wins the race!! its like whoever gets the 5/5 perfect shifts wins(e.g NFSU2)
and we have proof that it wins from markx! whereas u got no proof regarding liana n Civic... nowadays seeing is believing!! btw dont degrade Civic by comparing it with LOCAL CRAP!!

technically u r right bro, in the case of liana vs civic , science goes in the favour of civic, thats why price for reborn almost double than liana.
in case of civic vs markX , price for markX is almost double than civic, but civic gives tough challange to Markx in races. so performance wise civic rules.

Put the car thing aside for a min, people called honda owners wanna bes and that really hurts right? now imagine when people call toyota owners dehatee (villagers) payndoo and suzuki owners idiots even the most senior members do that, always calling local craps craps and buyers idiots doesnt that hurt??? There is nothing wrong in being a payndoo but one should be careful in writting this. I am thankful that you took up this issue and pakwheels should seriously take action regarding this.

If it was liana vs altis I am pretty sure people would have agreed on wht I slang and I am saying, trust me it hardly matters who wins coz both the cars are of different category but saying that civic will be 5 kms ahead is insane, I have driven this civic on highways motorways within city and trust me it gets pretty slow after 160 (thought liana almost dies after 160 but still manages 180) trust me the total distance at 170+ between me and civic was hardly 6 7 cars but after 180 gap was getting bigger at very slow pace.

definitely liana cannot out run a civic 1.8 this is for sure.

Here on Pakwheels I saw many people blaiming Suzuki, Alto, Mehran, Cultus and now Liana too , its a local crap or Tin Dabba also blaiming Toyota corolla Local Crap , Tin Dabba Poor road grips and etc etc but never saw a single guy to blaiming honda civic or city like its a local crap, tin dabba , poor road grips and so on, so we have to accept this fact that honda quality are better than suzuki and toyota,

And that is your way of judging a car brothers, not mine. Now stick to what U have been saying and watch this. U guys have been posting drag vidz, not me.

I been driving JDM rollas, Nissans and Civics when U guys were being born in the 80's. That was the time when Pakistan got a healthy import of JDM cars. trust me when I tell you that DOHC out-accelarates a similar sized SOHC engine any time of the day. the above video features an M15 Liana out-accelerating a d16b Civic. Do I need to tell everyone about the legendary Baleno GTti with a G16? Suzuki engines have proven their worth time and again. Since we are talking about Suzuki engines, I am also a fan of the K10 in the new Alto.
