i would like to ask Mark X owners, ex owners , Xperts and friends about their experience, esp. regarding its maintanance, parts. Have u ever taken ur car to workshop for mechanical or electrical work, is this a reliable car. As presently i own 2004 C class kompressor and its a curse for me, every day it has some new problem and parts and mechanics r hell expensive and its not a reliable car at all. So what about MArk X, i am going to buy it now

As far as the comforts are concerned you can't compare the comforts of a Merc with Mark-X although Mark-X is also a real good driving pleasure but as you query is concerned definitely Mark-X is easy and economical to maintain and repair facilities are easily available in even remote areas being a member of Toyota family.So you can easily manage with that,wish you good luck.

huh? how are parts available in remote areas? forget a mark X you will barely find specific vitz parts, even in karachi. i still haven't found a watershild for my vitz in karachi ( this includes most shops in plaza and most at tariq road ) i will have to get someone to import it for me.

even though i am not a mark x owner, any car that you buy other than the local crap will require some dosh and a lot of effort to source parts. thats a general rule.

In your 21st century 'anything' can be made avalible but at a price.

Mark X is a gud car.....
Its electric power steering (EPS) often malfunctions, it burns sometimes and then needs to be replaced, not that expensive but this is one of the most common faults in this car........ask a gud workshop which gets a lot of mark x'es and he'll tell u this....
Spare parts are quite scarce and expensive and u mostly have to either import or go to peshawar etc to get parts from disassembled smuggled cars......

One of the major toyota workshops once told me that new injectors cost around 20k in total ( u need to replace them if u run on ethanol enhanced fuel ( such as PSO ) becuz $HIT will get stuck in them ).......

The car requires app. 7 liters of engine oil, no power steering oil....and i have no idea about transmission oil, u'll have to confirm from a gud workshop....

fuel capacity is 70liters, range = 500km or so...

speed limiter = 180km/hr
top speed= 180km/hr ( I have tested that )

so it depends on how much u r spending currently on ur merc and then u can compare in with mark x......

Otherwise its a gud car....gives app 8-10km/liter and 0-100 in 7sec.s

Luv Mark X....for me mechanically it has not give much of a problem, mileage is real good to give 8.5 to 9 within city n round 12 on highways....
General maintenance parts are available very easily, body parts or anything also available no issue at all.
It is not that much sensitive as mercs or bmw....but would rate it very highly

Which water sheild are we taking about??

Parts can be imported over night from Dubai, considering the owner can bear costs.

20k for Geniune markx injectors doesnt seems to much considering a local Lianas each CNG injector cost around 18k and a Balenos set of (4) fuel injectors cost around 28k

cng stuff is probably different or the guy is ripping u off ( i dont know about cng and local $hit car stuff....)
Injectors are usually cheap, around 1-2k per each injector , depending on the specs.....

wat u r talking about is probably different......its cng which is different from petrol....

Brand new Petrol injectors for a Rs.1000 kahan milte hain bhae? even in scrap market they cost around Rs700

i think u meant 7000 for a set of 4.....i dont know which scrap market u r talking or maybe u r confusing something else with injectors, maybe u r confusing the entire throttle body assembly....or maybe u have the wrong prices.....i was talking 1-2k not for an entire set, only 1 injector....

injectors for ordinary cars are usually 1.5-2k each max.....considering this, 20k for 6 injectors= 3.33 for each is a little expensive....And given that the topic starter's c200 is only 4cylinder, this will be alot more than wat he is used to paying....

Are there any other injectors as well?? lol....like carborator injectors....heehe...

All injectors are efi dude.....these electric injectors along with an ecu are one of the major parts of an efi system ( Electronically Fuel Injected )

So now i hope u get wat i was saying....

btw its never wrong to be dumb...if u can change that later....

Thats what i thought u were taking about something else, btw the 700 mentioned in my earlier post is 700 not 7000 and yes there worth 28k brand new rail of 4 injectors. Singly not avalible with Paksuzuki dealers. And the price quoted was by a Suzuki dealer, as i only needed one i went to shairshah scrap market got one for Rs. 650

1 Civic injector for $34.21 which makes 34x86= 2924 and 4 injectors make 2924*4=11600 aprox

28k for injectors is toooooooooooooooooo much....

you cud get top of the line aftermarket injectors with like 400cc/min which is i think at least 2 times as a normal baleno injector......
These paksuzuki guys are crazy....
