Saw the accident last night...12.30 am...going from Y block dha towards Total pump. Accident happened at the intersection there. I was turning into Total pump when I heard the noise of the crash. And before that, this mark x had swerved onto the main road, from a side street, in front of me, without yielding for traffic. He wasnt driving that fast but the way he turned onto the main road was wrong. And then he did something even wronger than that..instead of going on the left side of the divider after the traffic light, he went on the wrong side (probably wanted to take a turn into the nearby street there) and smashed head on into the side of a mehran coming from that road.

No injuries took place and the mark x guy admitted his fault and agreed to pay for the damages. But the horror story is just starting:

Being a mark x owner and lover myself (though was on my corolla at that time), my heart was really broken to see the damage on the mark x. It was torture for me to see such a beauty smashed up in front of my eyes. It was the rare chocolate brown color edition...and the lip extenders on it were similar to the ones on my mark x...as well as the 18inch rims. It kept on reminding me of my own mark x...and that was like a horrific nightmare for me, really. I kept on saying 'oh nai yaar...' while taking the pics...couldnt help it.

For those people who're wondering why the mark x got smashed up more: These cars crumple to absorb the impact in the event of a crash so the passengers remain safe. Their cabin is made of reinforced steel and and lets the energy of a crash pass through it, while keeping the passengers safe. Mark x is a 4 star safety rating car...maximum being 5 stars. These cars dont roll out on the road without being crash tested.

Well...the front of the mark x totally absorbed the impact and I'm sure the driver in the mark x wouldnt've even felt as much as a slight jerk while crashing.

Relax. It's just a car. Cars come and go n now this model is old as the sucessor to this model arrived. Glad there were no injuries.

quality of a car has nothing to do with the amount of dent on the car ... mark x was smashed because in an accident it is supposed to do that so that the time of impact is prolonged and the force of impact is not transfered to the people inside the car ... u must have seen f1 cars burst into pieces even on a slight impact .... matlab yay hai kay mehran is dangerous and mark x is safe

Relax dude... your going overboard with the whole i love my car thing.

Alot of us do love/admire/care for our cars, but accidents are prone to happen, instead of mourning over them like a little girl, its better to learn from them and keep moving forward. (without breaks :P)

Bad bad, But most probably, Allah talah saved him from something big happening. Im glad no injuries tuk place, but the parties settled the matter mutualy.

Can u update if the airbags came out?

pictures taken from cell phones at night cannot show actual colours, nomicool is great admirer and researcher of mark x so if he has sen the car himself then it must me of chocolate brown colour, anyhow instead of just mourning on the accident we should take lesson from this and drive these great cars ( or any other car ) sensibly. Good thing is that no one injured and mark x guys is paying for mehran's damage. I guess front grill, headlights ( which seems new ) and bumper would be replaced, and some denting paintng on bonut and fenders. Would cost around 100k. Airbag not seems from pictures, i guess they comes out at speed above 40km. Being Mark X owner it hurts me to see the damaged car pics
