Matrimonial Ads in Newspapers

Hey guys, I was just reading newspaper and went through the matrimonial section. I was wondering if there's any credible good rishta in those ads. What I have observed in real world that if there's normal earning guy, there would be lots of rishta offers from the relatives, family friends or friends of those family friends. Almost same applies for the girls, if there's moderate looking girl with matriculation, intermediate would have dozens of rishta offers from relatives, family friends and friends of family friends.

The ads in the matrimonial section of newspapers always quote highly qualified, smart/beautiful and with well height boys/girls. I wonder how much would be the truth in it. In Pakistan I believe if the boy/girl is as mentioned in the ad, the relatives, family friends, friends of family friends would be eager to marry their girl/boy with those girls/boys.

If all that is lie or hyped, what do they get from posting such ads? I'm not talking about the ads from marriage centers etc as its their business. I'm talking about the ads posting being father/brother/mother of the mentioned boy/girl.

it is because people find insects in rishtas (translate to urdu for proper meaning).

larkkay ka rang theek nahin, kamata thorra hai, kamata bohat zada hai, weight bohat zada hai, bohat kamzor hai, parrha likha nahin, bohat parha likha hai...and so on.

I guess you didn't read my main post.

every family does have their own priorities. people simply write few basic lines Salt & pepper is added by the outlet submitting the ad in news paper(s). No parent / brother / sister is at all shameless to date in Pakistan to 'glorify' the eligible individual looking for possible match.

Matrimonials Ads = Property Ads

Rishta have gone far too complicated now adays. This is due to changing dynamics. Girls idealizes a man with all good qualities and similar happens on other end too. However, they miss what they deserve. There are few things that need to be looked while doing a rishta
Religion, Wealth, family and beauty. However, Religion among them is very important. You will get amazed how very ideal brides and grooms are still in search because they are looking for ideal or atleast some one who is compatible..

This issue is common in foreign countries, but people coming up with a single criteria. Foreign citizen hoo, turns off a lot of rishta..

I read this article few days ago and found it very upsetting looking at How a proper Islamic Society should be built on. Our social norms have taken over the Islamic laws
