Maximus 200w HID with 6000 lumens

I want to buy the maximus 200w HID with 6000 lumens. My couple of colleagues and friends have bought it and they are really satisfied with quality and brightness. I have seen the feedback and it is also pretty much perfect, but still confused. Any comments?

Dont go for it...it will glare other drivers very badly which will cause a high risk of accident. Also it cant be 200w thats just marketing tricks..max it will be 75w. Be wise. Get good quality beter halogen bulbs installed or go for a proper Quality projector retrofit. Good luck

I wonder why people are allowed to use this forum for such lethal after market HID's? We should discourage the use of those HID's at least here at Pakwheels. I've mentioned this in a few other forums too that I never felt any need for extra illumination in any of part of our country except for OEM provided lighting. I fail to understand why any sane person would need after market HID's that too without OEM Projectors? DIY retrofits are not perfect and needs high quality workman ship to get it work properly. I believe if they have difficulty with OEM lights at night, they should see a doctor and get their eyes inspected instead of blinding others.

They themselves say that it's don't go for watts, just go for the lumens. I got an hid installed from another local store, it was very expensive one but when I got the lumens checked from the meter they have, I was shocked that there was more than half of a difference.

No matter you get 6000lm or 12000lm...main thing is the glare that it will cause to other drivers and make them blind instantly. Consider a situation where you are driving and someone has placed a High power flashlight on the dashboard with the beam towards your face... Be wise in making upgrades in your car...if you are willing to upgrade lighting then go for a proper Retrofit and have piece of mind.

No matter whatever type of installation is done by any professional to any level of adjustment in the lights. HIDs in a halogen reflector will cause a glare for oncoming traffic and the brighter the HID, the more glare it will produce and more risk of an accident.

You need a best option in HID, then go for a proper retrofit with HID projectors or else change your Halogen bulbs to something powerful like Phillips or Osram

I have seen the output of those lights. They will burn other people's eyes let alone blind them. @OP don't get them, it's our brotherly advice. Instead get projector kit, Imad can hook you up with one.

Just today i nearly rammed into the back of a parked car as a stupid idiot with hid's installed in all possible holes he could find blinded me to such an extent. Trust me i have been there, you will be better off with better bulbs or as i said a projector kit.

Well, as per my knowledge and experience overtime, if the adjustment of lights are done in a proper way, it would not disturb the incoming traffic. It's same like saying if we de-adjust the Japanese or German cars lamps, it would of course disturb the incoming traffic. It's all about the adjustment. Don't blame the product in general. If something is used in a wrong manner, it doesn't mean the product itself is wrong. Make the right use, it will used in a perfect way.

However, question was about one of the best hids available in Pakistan. I researched and read several blogs along with feedbacks and reviews, sehgalmotors.pk seems to be most intellectual and rational towards the products they are selling. I installed maximus 200w HID with 6000 lumens today, and I'm pretty much satisfied with the quality and result.

Would be blunt here because it is a matter of lives.

The explanation in the videos and the videos themselves that Sehgal motors guy posts online is nothing but utter ********. I have commented a few times on his posts. Everytime my comment gets deleted. And, HIDs in a regular housing is a big no. Be it a set that costs even a Million dollars and is installed by the most professional guy on the planet.
In regular housing, any HID (be it a 6.03x10^23 lumen rating one) would simply scatter. You may feel improvement in vision but at the cost of other peoples eye sight and lives.
Get a branded set halogen bulbs, youd get a better vision and most importantly would save yourself from abuses of oncoming traffic.

Ps: the logic he gives of adjusting beams is all flawed. Thats not how simple life works. Dont let anybody play with your headlamp's reflector's position.

Bro best Top quality HIDs for your civic i suggest is of Ballasts of Hyluxtek or Denso and Yeaky XB35 HID bulbs...This is the best top quality hand picked stuff by me after going through a lot of research. I gave a set to a friend sometime back for his civic 2015 low beam He is just amazed. Let me show you some pics of output

You may have experienced scatter free HIDs. Unfortunately all of the experienced members here haven't seen such an HID in reflector housing. I myself have gone through numerous sets of HIDs and even the branded ones are blinding in reflectors.
You wanna go ahead with 200w maximus, please do so. We being concerned members can only advise against it and suggest using them in projectors instead.

Does your car have projector? if yes you can safely go for such HID but if its a halogen reflector than it was a very bad act from your side. HID in reflector disturbs others to an extent that it becomes a safety issue.
An easy way to decide is to sit on a chair in front of your car some 50meters away with lights on. let us know if you can sit there watching your car for more than a minute
