there were loads of them, most were butchered up with 1C diesel engines, nearly all were grafted with the 1982 facelift fronts and rears.
These cars rode incredibly good when in good condition, the problem that took them down was lack of body spares at reasonable prices. e.g. the embedded antenna tinted windshield was very expensive. The rear windshield with the ultra fine vertical defogger was also very expensive.
The electrics were very simple but our electricians proceeded to screw them up to the point of beyond repair. This car even had automatic swinging A/C vents - you didnt even get that in a mercedes benz.
