wooho ! What a calculation going on ......I don`t want to disturb you guys but point is what are you guys campaigner with what?
While first of all i would like to clear one think .....3Sfe engine is not made for loading, but in Pakistan we use to use this engines in commercial purpose coz its parts are easily available all over Pakistan that's why we use here....
Any ways 3S-FE is 2.0 L (1,998 cc)I4 DOHC 16Valve, with power of 90 kW (122 PS:121 bhp) at 5,600 rpm max & Torque is 169 N?m (125 lb?ft) at 4,400 rpm max... in 1997 model & this is the one which come in first model of this engine & its upgraded by time & its last model come in 2000 year & it can generate Power 94 kW (128 PS; 126 bhp) at 6,000 rpm and Torque up to 178 N?m (131 lb?ft) at 4,400 rpm max? after then in converts in to 3S-GE then its GE Generations started & those Gen for hi rav, And not fuel economy it?s for Power ?..So you can understand it..
Anyhow Now Come to 2C series engine which is also not a Loader Engine but we can use in light transport vehicles & cars , Now come to point 2C-L (1974)its 2.0L SOHC I4,Power is 73 hp (54 kW) at 4700 rpm, and torque is 132 N?m (97 lb?ft) at 3000 rpm. Which mean you can get low rav with good loading ? so as I told it can be used in light transport?..
So If we come in turbo version which is also known as 2C-LT (1974cc)2.0L .engine, But more power due to Turbo.
While one think more 1C, 2C & 3C they all have EFI & Turbo engines also available but in Pakistan unfortunately we don?t know buy due to lack of knowledge, how to handle EFI & turbo versions in diesel engine so we don?t used?? (Might be mechanic?s don?t understand or owners can?t spend money)
Anyhow now if you take 3C-E which is called 2.2L engine & 3C-L (2184cc) I4, 2.2L SOHC power produce is 69KW (92hp) max. It?s more fuel economy then 2C-L due to same body weight with bigger boost & EFI.
Now come to other manufacture engine which you already in discussion for (e.g. Mazda, Nissan, Isuzu, Mitsubishi & Hyundai or Kia) All share same engine mounts & same block technology engine & other resources under OMI agreement some diesel engine share by Suzuki as well as .
Now what I am trying to say in e.g. which I give, I ll take Mazda engine & you can swap engine on almost same engine mounts, so if you can?t find RF or R2 engine you can go for Nissan engine let take SD20 or 22,you can swap easily & these engine is much stronger then Mazda engine & better fuel economy?
Or you can get Mitsubishi engine which is also on almost same mount 4DQ series (e.g. 4DR1 (2384 cc) or more power you can select 4D56 (2477cc)& same engine with little bigger bore share Hyundai Shazoor have its DD4 engine)
So you guys have hell of choices??..
Now What are you guys comparing with R2 vs 2c vs 3s-fe is it like that?
While I already explain these engines 3s-fe & 2C, 3C & deference power b/w them & what these made for?so come to Mazda R2 engine & specifications??
Engine R2 (2184 cc ) 2.2L SOHC,8 Valve engine , so if you can see 3C specs you can clearly see same power so this is one more choice but for that you have to swap complete engine with gearbox & complete need modes in mounting as well as??
So if you guys planning to swap Toyota engine then go for 3C?.it?s much better choice otherwise you have there is other engine which can be swap on almost same mounts??now it?s up to you guys what you like & availability of engines in markets?..
Ooh one more thing which is very important I would like to share it RF engine come in these vehicles as well:
As I told it?s come with OMI agreement these some other companies share technology due to reduce cost of manufacturing & easy part availability in market, so for that majority parts can be interchanged & R2 or F2 is new version or you can say second name of RF.......
Hope fully its help you guys to find better engines for your vehicles!..
Best of luck !!!!
