Then we came across our first proper encounter with the snow........ real snow........ it was every where. Subhan'Allah.
We both literally shouted when we saw that much snow around us.
We suddenly stopped the bike and ran towards it.....
I damaged the visor of my newly bought helmet as well during all that hurrying up.

I was wearing my trusty old shoes and thought that water will not go inside while walking on the snow. My wife had brought her those shoes which she thought were waterproof as well but we were wrong, very wrong.......
but who cared................. It was snow all around us. we jumped on to it and forgot everything else.
The shoes did cause a lot of problem for us both. I got everything wet inside my boots and my wife's shoe sole broke off.
We spent a lot of time on the snow and then decided to go towards Naran. There were a very few people on the road and where ever we stopped so we enjoyed the benefits of the off season.
We were maybe around 20 kms from Naran. The next few kms were very beautiful as well and we stopped again and again after every few minutes. It was only 11 kms left, before we saw a blockage. The Army person standing there stopped us. When we stopped he asked us where we were going...... I told him were going towards Naran........ He smiled a very cruel smile and told me, who told you to come in these days......... "Naran is closed".
These words " Naran is Closed " were so hard to hear that I completely lost my mind......
I asked him of any other way but found out that there were 2 big glaciers on the way to Naran, which cannot be crossed.
What I should have done at that point was, I should have parked my bike and went ahead to the point where one could go on foot. But I was so disappointed and I turned my bike and went back. We thought of staying at a hotel near that point where Army officer stopped us but due to rate being so high we decided to go back. Wasa even if the rates were low, we would have not stayed there because we were so much sad.........
We parked near the river and stayed at the river for a while until we felt better and then moved again.
