Lexus luxury brand of Toyota released a luxury hybrid HS250h couple of years ago. Lexus initially hoped to sell 30,000 HS sedans per year, but very early on after the model's launch, in summer of 2009, there were signs that the HS might not come close to that. Lexus sold about 6,700 HS 250h models in the later months of 2009 but then moved only 10,663 of them in all of calendar-year 2010?and only 2,864 in all of 2011. @ 38K base price it was very expensive to own a 4 Cylinder Hybrid. Fact is the HS 250h was sharing same power synergy drive which Camry Hybrid has. Due to very slow sales Lexus killed HS250 early 2012.
