Bro i would have done that
But the quality of this kit was really pathetic
Its a Fiber Bodykit not the plastic one
AL HAMDULILLAH i am still happy that painter did an amazing paint job and fitting it looks like a plastic one
In plastic its easy you just have to leave the centre part
In fiber yes you can get it painted in matt black but if the quality is good here i had no other choice but had to give it a decent look which was almost impossible

Anyway , maxin bodykit is in my Future Plans IN SHA ALLAH

Still doesnt look fiber ;p nice job done on kit

He has an Altis and the offers he is getting are much lower than what same model xli can fetch
So Resale ko chaatna nae hai but still Corolla ( any variant ) is a common man's car
As i said earlier a rich man never drives a corolla !
So yes resale is not the only factor but it is an important factor
I never kept any Gli before
Mostly kept top of the line variants of the Corolla
But once i had a loss of 6 lacs when i sold top of the line variant in 2010 ( only 26 k driven and 2008 august new shape ) and once 5 lacs when i sold altis cruisetronic sr in 2012 ( only 15800 kms driven and 2011 pre facelift model )
And 2 to 3 lacs losses in past on se saloon altis etc
It hurts badly when same model of gli gives more money after 2 to 3 years
Thats why this time i went for 1.3 ltr version
Infact i was thinking to get Xli , i was not sure about gli autos resale at that time but thankGod its a Hit

And secondly
Shahrukh and silent bhai were comparing it with 1.6 auto Altis
The same decades old 4 speed A/T just kills the fun charm and potential of dual vvti 1.6 ltr engine

I think you have missed my earlier posts
If i am not wrong Predator was this forums first Gli Auto that was booked even before the launch of Grande and even before the test drive

At that time there were no signs of Altis 1.6 auto
Infact the brochure only had xli gli gli auto altis mt altis cruisetronic grande mt and grande cvti printed
The 1st brochure showing Altis 1.6 came many days after that
And even at that stage they werent sure and said it would come after 3 to 4 months

I would have gone for Altis 1.6 if they would have launched it in the beginning but waiting for 3 to 4 months was not an option for me
As i wanted to enjoy that initial phase when a Corolla can be a real head turner lol
So got this Gli Auto
And it is perfect for our use
I am happy and enjoying it AL HAMDULILLAH

Sides = Civic
Front = Corolla
Rear= I think of both, though personal preference would be civic but Corolla too this time has no parallel.

Ride Height: of course civic.

Though in real world terms, because the civic is an old model, corolla does outrun it. It is really a shame that the current model of civic is not worthy to even compete with the corolla in looks.

I can understand brother, I also have a hard earned money. I didn't had a budget to buy altis 1.6 but in the last month of booking, I decided to go for altis cause i saw one of the posts of @autophile that you live for once so don't worry about the loss and enjoy 1.6 ".
Anyways After three years we will see how much loss, we have to suffer.. Inshallah by that time God will give us more, so that we can bear that loss..

Anyways that's my personal opinion, no offence.
But I think this time it's going to be a bit different, 1.6 and grande owners won't suffer huge losses like 4-5 lacs.

Even when I bought mine Altis 1.6 was nowhere to be seen and to be very honest it's not an Altis when it has GLi cluster as well as front grill, I just need OEM alloys now to make my car look like that
Alhamdulillah the car is going strong even when it is taken out only once or twice a week, but now things are changing since I got her new tires and Altis alloys soon to follow In Shaa Allah. I just simply ignore the "under-powered" posts and comments now because that argument is rubbish, with 4 people on board it touches 120 km/h in a quartermile distance and that is perfectly fine for a family car, if anyone is fond of racing go buy at least a rotary powered RX-8 and stop bugging us GLi AT owners.
And resale IS an issue for those who earn money the hard way because it does not grow on the trees for them. Even now some friends are after me to sell the GLi to them at cost to cost but I know that even after using it for 2-3 years I will be able to sell it for the same amount In Shaa Allah and not beat my head for losing 3 lakhs at least.

Brother you and @innocent_devil miss understood my post. I didn't say that Gli/AT is underpower, it's perfectly fine..
You have Prius for fun factor and "innocent devil" has "red mamba", you guys don't need 1.6 but those people who have Suzuki or any other old car.. Don't you think they deserve or need 1.6 to have some fun as well.
By the way before buying Prius, why didn't you consider its resale factor?
You know that you will loose money, if you sell it now.. Was your money grown on trees?
No it's not like that it's just a personal choice or preference..
