Bro almost all aspects
Except for 0 to 100 timing
Gli AT beats City Prosmatec in all aspects
City prosmatec feels sluggish as compared to GLi AT in city driving..
After keeping brandnew city prosmatec for 2 months and driving it for 1100 kms i can confidently say 11th Gen Corolla is way ahead
And i dont think even the next gen city can compete with 11th gen corolla
For Our Roads and driving conditions

THREAD UPDATE :

The Car has clocked 25k kms
1st Problem with the car after 1.5 years and 25k kms
The car needs Tuning badly , for the last 2 , 3 weeks i have noticed the RPM drops whenever i turn on the AC and keeps fluctuating for some time until I start driving it or give slight race
The problem is easily noticeable even the family members sometimes feel that and ask what i s happening why is it vibrating

I still remember the samething happened with my 9th gen civic when it had 17k kms on the odo and the issue was resolved after regular periodic maintenance which included engine oil air filter change and tuning
Will take the car for periodic maintenance this saturday IN SHA ALLAH
yes 1 other problem sometimes the transmission gives a jerk when the car shifts from 1st to 2nd gear but not always
Yes that jerk is also very noticeable and feels really bad
Lets see what is the issue
According to my Dad's observation it happens after cold start only and comes back to normal later after an hour or so

Mileage : 24143

The car was sent for periodic maintenance today
As mentioned earlier in my previous post it had some problems
All the issues have been resolved , the shifting is butter smooth now just like before , and the RPM is also stable now and isnt dropping and car isnt vibrating

The car needed
Engine Tuning
Spark Plugs replacement
New Air Filter
And obv service

Total amount spent
6608/-
Spark plugs 1700/-
Air Filter 2454/-
Engine Tune Up 1511/-
Body wash 466/-
Carburater spray 200/-
Sales Tax 277/-

Will get the oil and oil filter changed from Shell as i dont want to use 20w50 offered by 3s
But car is perfect Now and i am satisfied !

Suspension of the City is not bad either. Infact, this suspension makes City more stable.

Suspension of the City is not bad either. Infact, this suspension makes City more stable.

But its not just about engine
Its the overall chemistry !
I mean if you compare City 1.3 Auto with GLi 1.3 Auto
In city drive
City feels sluggish whereas GLi AT is more responsive even with such a huge body more weight and just 85 horses under the hood , transmssion is also just a simple 4 speed AT
But overall driving experience is straight away superior as compared to City 1.3 Auto
City only has edge if you floor the car with full throttle
In that case it beats GLi AT with 3 seconds from 0 to 100
But it is not responsive with everyday and within city driving conditions it does feel sluggish and you really have to floor it to get a decent acceleration
But corolla moves easily and you dont really have to floor it !

But as i said its about the overall setting of Engine with transmission overall Tuning and setting
IMC did great !
Rest Auto engineers and car enthusiasts can comment better but as an end user i just shared my experience

I have driven both in manual. And honestly speaking, i didn't feel any difference.

But yes manual is a haedache for our traffic !

I had driven it twice years back once in 2011 then in 2012
Both were bad , shifting was hard , both the cars had serious issues in moving once you slow down in downshift to 2nd gear
Just like Swift
You must put it in 1st gear even if the car is moving at 8 to 10 km/hr
Xli / Gli beats City here in this dept too

I have gli a/t from last 1 year. I always thought that manual gli would be super fast as compare to auto.
Today i tried gli manual but did not felt any difference in manual and auto gli in acceleration or drive. Only thing is manual can give you better milage.

Its may personal experience but everyone has right to disagree.

Predator ( Gun Metallic GLi AT ) of this thread is in my Father's use now , the overall experience has been great , the car has clocked 24140 kms and is still going strong

I recently purchased a brandnew facelift City 1.3 prosmatec but Sold it after keeping it for 2 months only and now finally made the right decision and purchased this Brandnew GLi AT in Medium Silver this time

Had many many options but still after thinking for almost 10 days i went for this !
Options i had
1.8 L Prius
Nissan Juke
9th Gen Civic Hardtop Prosmatec
A friend's used Mark X
Unregistered 2007 previous model C180 Mercedes Benz
Toyota Aqua
Used Camry
Used Accord 2008
And Toyota Premio

All these are great cars
But after thinking alot and after looking at all the pros n cons i went for 11th Gen Corolla

Bought it 3 days back
Sharing the pics when it came out of showroom
Will share the pics after Some mods later

I paid Premium
But after checking all the showrooms and open market
Got it at 35k Only
Normally the rate was 50 to 60k for GLi AT at different showrooms
Yes even at the end of the year in the second last week of december
The premium will go up again in January for 2016 invoice car and will cross 120000
So I made the right decision at the right time
