No such plans of discontinuation, after new civics launch, grande sale will touch down the bottom of an ocean, so IMC's only selling items will be 1.6 and 1.3..
A person who can hardly spend 19,70,000, is not able to spend 23,40,000 on grande.
If they discontinue 1.6 then you can see rise in demand in 1.3 AT segment not in grande though.
It doesn't make any sense.
So chill guys, it's not going to happen..

The idea is not to Boost up sales of any variant
Infact there is no " IDEA " there is a "Problem "
As i mentioned in the other thread as far as i know they are facing difficulty in CKD kits and getting Dual Vvti 1.6 ltr engine
And thats y they will have to discontinue this variant !

I had enjoyed the so called top of the line variant not once but thrice
Indeed , top of the line variants are much better than XLi or Gli but the fun factor isnt as great as the loss we face in such variants later on !
May be you have missed my earlier posts in this thread
10th gen Altis Cruisetronic ( 2008 ) gave us a loss of more than 6 lacs when it just had 24k kms on the odo and was in just like new condition
Another mistake again was top of the line variant in 2011
When i sold it in 2012 for 8th gen civic it went for 5.5 lacs lesser than the actual cost price
That was the point i decided i will never ever get a 1.8 or 1.6 in Corolla
I prefer only Civic in 1.8L and i already had one last year
So this was the best buy for me and i am happy

After the launch of Civic X, all the people will forget Grande.

IMC need to launch a new car in 1.3 category. And this is the only way to boost up the sales of Grande.

We should come out of this bubble and enjoy what current options are available.

And IMC doesn't need to anything right now. They are more than satisfied from GLI/XLI. Moreover in current scenario 1.8 variants of corolla must be outselling civic, because this time Grande has some tricks up its sleeves

Resale is your top priority as I stated earlier. Than yes go with gli etc.

But the fact is, Altis Grande sales dropped even before the launch of Civic.

Mostly i see, GLI on the road. I don't remember exactly when i saw applied for registration Grande last time.
