Its fine Alhamdolillah. Driven 11700 KMs only until now. Has remained under the sheets for a long time. Didn't really get a chance to drive it to my heart's content

Yes, indeed, and I truly thank you for that. It was a thread from which I learnt so many things myself. From tyres/rims to door sill or scuff plates, interior lighting to steering controls. All of which have been incorporated today in the Corolla and Civic by default. It seemed as if Indus Motors and Honda Atlas were both following the thread. The thread was like a family. I wonder what happened to Laadli?

even i learnt many things from that thread and upgraded my Blue Max reborn too back in 2012 , got the same type R leather wrapped and stitched with red , multifunction steering wheel that zunny bhai had on his reborn .. went for 17 s alloys n tyres too , it was a beauty

Got the tank refilled today ( 2nd refill )
Covered 468 kms in full tank still it was showing range of 70 plus kms
Kept waiting for the low fuel indication , but still there was around 8 to 10 % fuel left , finally got the tank refilled again as I usually keep at least half tank of fuel , because of the strikes , protests and traffic jams in Karachi .
You can calculate the fuel Avg
It's around 9.7 km/l
Mixed driving style 75 % economy mode RPM between 2 - 3
1% floored it
10 % RPM touching 4000
Rest idling with AC

I am using it with 16 Inch alloys 215/60/R16 tyres which is slightly over size
For even better figures drive it with stock Size tyres , but i dont think there will be any big difference
Max 0.5 to 1 km /l

my car will only get the tires changed as my family will use it hence no alloys required even if I want to get them.
and hence these are myths that bigger alloys increase fuel consumption? if one gets good quality stuff it doesn't harm anything right?

The steel Rims that come in standard base variants xli and Gli are already heavy and if you compare them with branded ultra light weight alloys the steel / black rims/ stupny is heavier !
And if you increase the size say 16 Inch , if you are getting light weight branded alloys the difference would be very slight , the car can accommodate 5 people , most of the time max 4 people use the car , aik average 75 kg admi se to kam hy weight hoga na 15 se 16 Inch rim per janay mein

No worries in going for 17s. I've got very lightweight 17s with me, If you need em tell me. You can get almost new 17 inch tyres too at very good price. Use michellin 17s and lightweight rims. You wont have to compromise either on comfort or consumption.

you will Definitely feel the difference if you go for 205 or 215 / 55 / 16 ( the ride will become a bit hard and uncomfortable ) but that's the recommended size in 16 for corolla according to international corolla specs ideal for fuel consumption and acceleration
But the conditions are different here in our country
They have no idea about the car breakers n horrible bumpy roads with potholes we have here
So 205 or 215 / 60 / 16 is the best size for here the ride will feel comfortable n soft !
Similarly in 17s
45 is the recommended profile
But considering the road conditions here one must go for 215 / 50 / 17 if going for 17
Even then you won't get the comfort of 195 or 205 / 65 / 15
Or 215 / 60 / R16
I would suggest go for 205/65/15 as your mother will be using it

How can i reduce the Gap with out going in to 16" wheels? my pockets are empty now and just need to stick to change the tires only.

In your car gap is looking pretty OK

Toyota Ireland offering Corolla in Two Rims (Sizes are mentioned) so these should be a standard I mean No Speedo Meter error. Rear Gap is also looking very OK in the snaps
