Meet My Gorgeous 11th Gen Corolla ALTIS 1.6 Facelift

ALLAH PAK ka Boht Boht shukr hai

While coming to office half an hour back ALLAH PAK saved me from accident on a main busy road

I was going in fast track on a main road at 100 ( shouldn't be going that Fast but it's a main road and I usually go at 80 to 100 there for more than 6 years now )
Anyways I was going quite smoothly at 100 in the fast lane when an aged man changed his track and came in the fast lane suddenly , I didn't have time to stop my car even after applying full brakes and other cars were also coming from behind in the fast lane , just when he jumped in the fast lane I applied brakes heard the Abs in function and tried my best to turn slightly enter and cross from there in a very very tight gap between uncles corolla and footpath it was a really tight gap hardly hairline gap saved my car from getting scratched from both the sides
One more thing I heard the abs working brakes worked really nicely enabling me to turn and enter in that tight gap ..
After escaping from that accident and slowing down I looked at the uncle who jumped without any indication and out of no where in the fast lane , he wasn't even looking at me and Def realised that it was his mistake and ALLAH PAK saved him too from that bad crash , agar xli mein hota to direct uncle ki corolla k driver door mein ghusa hota God forbid !
Everything worked perfectly heard the abs working but still tyres also made screeching noise
And ideally they shouldn't right ?

And if I was in your place, after evading the possible accident I would've stopped my car right in front of him, reach his window and regardless of other person's age would've insulted him in the way he deserved. God forbid if anything had happened logon ne aap ka qusoor nikaalna tha aur tarha tarha ke ilzaam laganay thay like our waili awaam always does.

Such a tolerance is good for us but the others don't get ashamed rather gain confidence in doing more stupider acts on the road thinking they'll get away from that too!

You are not alone. Yesterday a Mehran guy jumped out of a U-turn right in front of my car which was at around 45 km/h, and when I gave dipper and horns he showed the finger. That was it. I changed my route and followed his car till the point where it stopped, my mother was with me, we got out and insulted that shameless cheapster and left the area. Although many times I just let it go but this moron needed to be taught a lesson.

Yaar just help me in one issue I have corolla GLI 2014 and I already have a heavy duty sound system which I didn't sold with my last car.

I want to remove that default company fitted audio player and want to install my pioneer player have you seen any new model corolla doing this because I didn't find its fitting where it can fit and seems appropriate.

I know there is lots of jugaaar in the market but I don't want to ruin my interior looks.

You will need a fascia kit for it I think
I am no expert in this
You should post it in audio related forums
I just have a plan to install aftermarket dvd player with back camera which will have same altis players design so no jugaar needed in that

The guy steeped out of his car with loaded pistol in his hand and straight away came to me and then saw my family in the car and my mother sitting at front my mother shouted " beta kya ker rahay ho kya baat hai pls jao " he apologised and said sorry Aunty I thought ye larna chah rahay hein pointing at me
So if we are alone do you think these illiterate frustrated people will think for once before shooting us ? Never !
We have no law and order here what else can we expect

that's messed up, in Islamabad taking out pistols is still a rare happening, but you never know. and yes you are very right that keechar mein paon daalein ge to apne oopar bhi chheentay aayen ge, jahaalat ki kami nahi hamari awaam mein. same thing my parents warn me about that just ignore these idiots on the road when you are alone because they don't have any sense and are extremely jealous and frustrated people. anyways back to the discussion of your Gorgeous GLi AT

Both are equally good
But overall Civic still takes the lead !
However civic looks quite ordinary in front of new corolla

Here I am talking about Vti oriel prosmatec
In your budget you can get either altis auto or Vti prosmatec
Compare the spec sheet of both cars and see what's better for you
Civic vti hardtop prosmatec doesn't have cruise control
On the other hand altis cvti lacks passenger side airbag , immobiliser and steering audio controls
Altis comes with android nav unit
You will have to pay extra 70 k in civic to get android nav unit but it will also come with front camera

Overall
Corolla beats civic badly in looks and exterior
Civic beats corolla badly in interior layout and design and comfort , seats are really nice in civic !

The best thing would be to get VTI Oriel prosmatec with navigation

Thnx yaar. But what about the cvt-i transmission? I've heard it's better and has faster shifts hence better acceleration. And corolla has more interior space especially in the rear seats.....

1800 cc with CVT transmission of Grande has nothing to do with interior quality , comfort , Interior layout and design , better finish of the overall car
And still lacks some really much needed and nice features you get in civic
CIVIC is still a better option my dear
And your suggestion doesn't even count here sorry for that but it's true because most of the times reflects biased behaviour
when you had previous gli you used to say civic reborn is just rubbish and looks bad than corolla
now your views have changed and rate it better than 9th gen civic even
and since personally you hate 9th gen civic your all comments are in favor of Grande
be logical
be practical
Don't give suggestions just because you like something !
I am driving both yes I know it's 1300 cc and sluggish as compared to altis but major 95% of the car is same
I don't have any problem if he goes for a corolla or civic or liana or reborn or whatever

Both are equally fast and both have almost same acceleration
And on the basis of specs Civic seems faster
weighs lighter than corolla , more hp and torque figures
According to my experience it's faster than previous 1.8 altis Sr and 8th gen civic
even let's suppose it looses in a drag race to new altis
The difference would be really really slight and you are not getting a family sedan for drag race etc
For space yes I agree corolla is more spacious
But civic feels much better even at the back seat it's really comfortable and feels better than corolla

I never said reborn is ****. Show me the proof regarding it. I was very disappointed when my uncle sold his 8th gen back in 2008. I was disappointed to see 9th gen replacing 8th gen however thats the other story. But considering today what is on offer, I will choose grande, Better price, better exterior, Seats, Its comfortable and imo better in grip then older cows. Navi, Meter, Tranny, Engine.etc are all great. The interior even when you sit inside looks very very good. The only problem is ride height but one can get coilovers. You choose civic for immobiliser, better resale then altis (Im sure Grande will have better resale then civic), Climate control and one more airbag? I would rather have grande which has something different to offer after all.
