I suggest you become more active than just pakwheels in pursuing your aim and start standing outside the Toyota dealership to inform every new car buyer entering there to book their new underpowered car. Plus also think something about the badly underpowered 70 cc motorbikes used by our general public. They are used by more than 2-3 adults at same time and 3-4 kids. Don't you think they should be given 200cc bikes in same price for such kinda heavy loads?

like in my swift when a corolla wala driver try to cross me honk at me with high beams i just put the gear from 4th to 3rd press the accelerator and in matter of seconds corolla gets smoked lol

Shifting from 1st to 3rd is normal
I mean if you have floored in 1st gear at almost 3k rpm then you can shift to 3rd and car will continue to move without any knocking but obv its an abnormal way of driving sometimes its okay but intentionally i dont see any benefit in doing this
It will affect fuel avg too
Most of the time when i drive my manual one
I try to change every gear at 2k rpm max
And usually i put it in 5th at 45 to 50 km/hr speed

I used to drive 1.8 auto tran
now moved to 1.3 so some time when rpm goes to 4 or more then use to skip 1 gear

Because they only survive n make so much profit on Gli and Gli Auto ..
Civic has always beaten corolla in 1.8 ltr category
This time civic is not impressive and they failed to make something better than reborn thats the only reason they are lagging behind but as soon as they will launch face lift civic i am sure Honda will take lead again in 1.8 ltr category
Dont you guys remember what happened to Altis Cruisetronic 1.8 Sr back in 2010 and 2011 ??
It did a good business for IMC but only in 2008 end and 2009 after that they had to discontinue it and launch 1.6 ltr variant which simply proved they accepted the fact that car of choice in 1.8 ltr category is Civic

I use only odd gears in my 2.0d saloon. 3rd at 30 from 1st than 5th at 50kph. results in astonishing fuel economy.

If U can see 10 corolla on road 3 or 4 out of them u will fine grande or simply 1.8 varriant.
Even in facelift honda will not give more than lights and some bumpers change.
Will they give us android nav

Neither of them are meant to be driven on Cng

Gli is a decent family sedan
Arguing and highlighting some safety features that it lacks would be a wise thing to do
Something that Indus might think about introducing in 12th gen Corolla Gli airbags

About Swift
Speed is the only plus point of Swift

One has to look at many things before purchasing a car in which swift badly fails no offence

Plus even in speed comparison
Swift is fast no doubt about that
But apart from revving hard every time what happens if you put it in 4th gear and then floor it from 60 km/hr ??
Since i kept it for more than a year i know what i am talking about
Corolla 1.3 manual accelerates so smoothly and faster than swift if you floor it in 4th gear or 5th gear at and above 60 km/hr
You must rev swift hard in 2nd gear and 3rd gear to get all that power
It just dies in 4th gear

Diesel is totally different
It never knocks due to torque even if you try to move it in 2nd gear at 3km/h speed
You cant achieve this even in 1.8 ltr manual civic or grande
I have tried it
2.0D is too good in some aspects

The sale is not that high any more
Used grandes manual transmission are hardly fetching 20 lacs and ppl are demanding 21 lacs for just like new only 3k kms driven manual grandes
Registered and Wht paid
Even then market is low
Autos even are hardly fetching 23
