1.5 Turbo vs FJ Cruiser

Tonight while i was coming back home from Kh e Hafiz I saw an Fj Cruiser in white color coming from behind when I was waiting at red signal . He came next to me and since it was RHD he rolled down the window and asked for a drag race . So we both floored our cars when signal went green and initially for 2 to 3 seconds he was slightly ahead but after that 1.5T gained speed quickly and finally gave him a gap of 1 car atleast before the next signal .. it was a short patch in quartermile run Turbo would have given a decent big gap to FJ Cruiser but here Turbo won by 1 car gap only .. he then gave me a thumbs up at next signal and said your car is quite fast ! i asked him about his car's engine specs and it was a 4 litre 265 hp and 300nm torque FJ cruiser .. i have seen some videos at youtube and indeed it is fast but shouldnt have taken lead even initially i dont know if it was stock or tuned
