natural oils in car paint waxes attract dust further wile applying waxes a static charge comes in car skin which also attract dust
so to nutralize that static charge and give a light sealing layer such detailing sprays used as lsp ( last stage product )
Apart from above detailer spray also being used in between 2 shampoo washes as its quick wipe over car skin give appearance of "just being waxed "
Polishes having lots of natural oils and waxes so give bad bonding to sealants so detailers arround world use sealants prep polish or ipa wipe before applying sealant which give best bondable surface and enhance the life of sealant layer
give apc+ wipe with 5:1 ratio means 5 part water and 1 part apc+ with folded microfiber before sealant layer
