Mehran average (petrol)

Hi all, i have a 94 mehran and it used to gave me 17kmpl, i myself had calculated the average by using a 1 litre bottle.. the only problem that is was facing was the car wont go above 90 kmph.. then i had a kiraa of opening the carb.. i came to know that the high speed butterfly was not opening due to worn out vaccum diaphram..
So, i went to plaza in karachi bought a new diaphram for rs 800 after bargaing he was asking for rs 1500.. and then i bought carb repair kit (japani) which had each and everything in it.
The jets sizes which came were 92 and 135.
Allhamdulliah i serviced my carb by mu self and i have regain power. And can easily cross 100kmph even the pedal is not fully pressed.. but the average has dropped to 14 kmpl

I used to get 13/14 on my 91 mehran....i think its a decent avg tht u r still getting on this old car....you got increased speed but still a good fuel avg, i wud say stick it to it and enjoy.

I once tried to hit 90kph, at that moment the car felt like it was in air with no grip...i got scared too much and nvr did it again.

Thnaks @sleeper , i tnhink that your mehran need bigger tires for better road grip i have 155 /70 /12 installed. Which have improved road grip.. i must say that you also try it...

Bigger rims and tyres reduce fuel average, carby mehran engine has average of 12-14km/L. 17km/L ki average tou EFI mehran ki hai

I had those factory radial st....they were so soft

The car was sold in 2016 after 25yrs....still cant forget it.
