Mehran blue smoke

My mehran is giving blue smoke.
Specially at the start up then it reduces.
Mechanic suggested "oper se ring rkh donga thek ho jaye gi"
What do u suggest?
What is the actual cure?
Replacement of rings is a long lasting solution?
Engine overhaul?? What is needed.
Also is it urgent ??
Vx 2010.

The valve seals might be deteriorated, and needing replacement, however, if there is continuous smoke, combined with oil reduction, then rebuild / overhaul might be the only suggestion, if compression is low too.

1st have the compression test done to find the exact health of your car's engine.

Depends on the requirements and damages.

May be, only rings replacement suffices, or may be, whole engine is reqd. to be rebuild / overhauled.

Overhauling / rebuilding of engine includes many different jobs, changing rings being one of them (so it automatically gets covered in engine rebuild).
