Mehran engine alternation with japanese vxr

Hi,
I have Mehran 2004 model and the engine is not in good condition. I ask someone for repairing and he said it will cost you atleast 40k to make this. I really like Japanese alto but I can't afford it. So, is it possible to get a Japanese alto engine 660 automatic in my Mehran? If yes then which model should be good for it.

But why don't you get your current engine rebuild / overhauled, using genuine, OEM parts, and as per stock conditions?

F8A / F8B (Carburettor / EFI) is quite a rough and tough, robust and dhaaeet engine.

I won't suggest to replace it with any 660 cc engine.

Because I saw so many videos with vxr engine in mehran and everything was so good fuel average was even better with automatic transmission. I have no idea about these things because I never experienced anything like that. My cousin had mehran and then he got alto 660 and he said "Yaar yeh best hai, na koi kaam mangti na kuch. bs mazay se chalao! Mehran toh harr dusre din garage mai khari hoti thi" he had 90s mehran and same for my 2004 I am so done with this because I have to take this so many times to garage even more then I ride this.

And I think, something is not right, and I am sceptical about your mechanic / garage.

You need to change them. I fear, they are minting money from you every now and then.

Yes. Problems can arise, but not in a manner, which you have stated.

Btw, mind sharing your city / location, so that you may be referred to good mechanics in your city?

1) Alto 660 if pkdm is new and yes it will be trouble free as its new. Even if it is jdm in good condition it will be trouble free also.
2) If u go for any alteration, like put auto transmission or change engine to 660cc, what is guarantee that it will be a good alternative???. Bcz engine u will be using an old one kabuli. And same goes with transmission. And your total cost for this project may goes to 1lac. For both engine and transmission.

In my honest opinion. Change ur workshop, 2ndly, rebuild ita engine from a knowledegable person not some gali ka illiterate ustad. If you share your city, PW comunity will surely recommend you some excellent person

In ISB Dmotorsports G-13 , and Rehman Autos are the best places for this work.

I think, you need to change your garage / mechanic.

If he is unable to resolve your issues, or you have to visit him frequently, then you need to change the garage.

Can you please tell me what is pkdm and jdm?
Actually my brother got this car I am 20 he started using it. It was our first car and he got so many minor accidents with this like stratches and dents my mom was not happy at all so he just stop driving it and all the responsibility came on me I didn't even knew a thing but now I know many things and the mechanic I got was bad so I changed my mechanic and the new one is amazing he guide me with everything but he don't know about engines. Tomorrow I have to allign the tires and after eid inshallah I will go for engine.

I just did last week new mechanic is way more better then older and he guide me with eveything. There was a voice coming from the tire I was so confused someone said you have to change the raad and things and it will cost you around 10k then I got my car to my new mechanic he just changed his bushes and now its perfectly fine.

Pakistan Domestic Model / Market PKDM (cars which are locally assembled here, like Mehran, Alto, Honda City, Civic, Coroll, etc.), Japanese Domestic Model / Market JDM (i.e. Japani gaariyaan like Vitz, Mira, Move, etc.).

Oh okk I got it. If I can get a good engine because I know people around me who can get me a good engine but they never experienced alternation so what will you say should I or should I not?

Nope. I won't suggest to go for engine swap, transmission swap, etc., especially when one is resale conscious too.

Alterations come at a cost, and might have their own issues too.

Usually in cars where serious major modifications have taken place, like engine swap, transmission swap, etc. general public unn cars p hath nai daalti.

My suggestion is to go for rebuild / overhaul of your current engine, as all relevant parts are easily available in the markets. You just need to find an expert, but reliable mechanic, to do the job, and genuine, OEM parts.
