Somebody please explain to me why i shudnt just get an old mehran worth 1.5 lakh and replace the engine with the new Euro II efi one instead of spending 5-6 lakhs on a new mehran

I am Planning to buy new Mehran Euro II..if you are using it for few months?..kindly let me know of your experience?..How you find it?..there are rumors..Its Fuel consumption go increase after three four months?..looking for your brotherly advice..btw till now i choosed to go for Mehran coz it looks most economical in every perspectives and have a very good resale value..

My experience has been really good. It is giving me good average in city and on highway as well. As it a new car, there are no visit to mechanic of any sort other than just oil change. My round trip from Lahore to Naran and back to Lahore used around 70 liters of petrol.

But first check your needs, requirements and then decide for whichever car you opt for.

I went from lahore to naran too,via murree, n back via hasan abdaal....
N my consumption was around 70 litres too:)

My route was inverse i went via hasan abdal and came back via murree

i have euro 2 2012, i have driven it up to 25k km..
it is giving me 20km/liter average with in city..
i also use ac with it in on off way..

i only use caltax and total petrol at selected stations..

tip is never filled ur tank more then 10 liter in one filling..
less u feed the car more u get the average..

more petrol increase pressure on injectors then, its consumption increases..

use havoline formula engine oil it suits the car..

yaar ye zara pressure wala part thoda sa explain krna please....

Does fuel travels from tank to injectors due to gravity or fuel pump pump does this job.?
First case, More volume of fuel in tank, more pressure so more flow to injectors
In later case, should not have major difference.

mehran is an avg man's prius
its cheaper to buy and run
and guess what, it doesnt have batteries like hybrid which might die and level out all the petrol cost u ever saved

(though its price is not justified like all remaining local assembled cars )

You are saying quite right, I bought a Mehran Vx Euro 2 a couple of days earlier, and its giving me approx 12 km/L. Every other person is lying on this forum.

I bought Mehran Euro 2 on 28 Sep, 2013 and I am sorry to say its not up to my expectations, the petrol average its giving is 12 km/L, and the body is so light, it came with a alot of small defects, which needed to be resolved on the first tuning.Suzuki is not making Mehran a quality product, I regret my decision of buying Mehran Euro 2.

Paksuzuki Mehran price should b some where between 2.5 to 3 lakh

Yup i agree with u its mileage cant exceed 14/15 Km/l without AC in City

Hameed bhai sorry to disappoint you on this, but I can bet over fuel average here with you. You can bet with me to change your views about it. I drive with light foot, and with 50% time with AC. I get around 420-430km in each refill, usually the refill varies from 25 to 28 liters.

And you can expect more average in Islamabad as traffic is not as congested as of Lahore.

Well that is personal preference of the owner of the car. I'm satisfied with my car's petrol average and I'm using it on petrol. I'm very much content with the fuel average it is giving to me.

Hey guys Salam, My dad got me a Mehran Vx Euro 2. On my very first fill up it gave me 14 km/l ( method was to fill the tank where I can see the petrol drove 392 km when the needle was on E i refueled and 28 Liters petrol was filled I could see the petrol)

On my next tank I've driven 550 km and needle is on the E line. It was filled where i could see the petrol (same 28 liters mentioned above plus one 4.80 liters fill up). So my car is driven 550 km with 32.80 liters of petrol. Is it a good average? 120 km out of those 550 km were on Highway and rest was driven inside the city. So it makes 16.76 km/l ( with still petrol in tank)

Is the mentioned average good? ( i'm asking because I used to drive my previous car on CNG so petrol averages are quite new to me )

It's pretty good average. No need to do anything special, just routine maintenance like timely oil change, clean air filter etc. And don't bother for needle to go to the bottom of E line. Fill your car as soon as it hits the E mark.
