Mehran Euro 2 Petrol Average

Brother last month i bought new Mehran VX euro II and completely filled its Tank i.e 30Lt..till now i have driven 485 KM and needle is on E still there is a Petrol i hope it will take me to more 5,10 Km.approx 500Km in 30lt of Petrol..16-17 Avg of new car..is it the good average?what you suggest me to improve it more.?

Which city are you from? and further whenever you'll fill, it'll never be full 30 liters, it'll be from 25 to 28 L filling depending on your tank's position.

I wana say that I bought EuroII Mehran in January 2013 after selling my speedster Civic95. Before that I had City 2009. I must say, after driven it 21,500 km, Mehran has not disappointed me in following aspects; M getting everage of 16.5-17.5 with a constant speed around 100. Has better seats than previous model Mehran. Never Ever went to Mechanic apart from changing engine oils and normal tunings. Did not add any extra features, even tyres are same. I would say comparing available cars in market, it is worth buying in 650,000. But, above that, in small cars, there are many imported options. Only one thing to keep in mind, like I, if you have to drive on hilly areas, do not go for automatic engines. Lastly, I am satisfied with the car.

odo reading 19400 km. per liter average in city is 16~17 km/l

9,500 kms to date
Boots changed from Generals to Yokohama just after purchase

Fuel Average: 15.5 kmpl to 17 kmpl in city driving (no AC installed)
No "kharak khrook" noises started yet
Pick is excellent - brakes have depreciated a lot........

Overall car has been performing good.

12,500 kms to date
Full stock

Fuel Average: 13.5 kmpl to 14.5 kmpl in city driving w/o AC, 11-13 kmpl with AC in city
Noises from dashboard started before 1000 kms and from rear (diggi) around 6-7k on ODO
Pick is excellent - brakes much better than vehicle # 1 ........

Overall: V.poor fuel average .............. air filter changed twice but no improvement

Yes the size is same as the stock one ................ chose yokos to compensate (to some extent) the rigid suspension of Mehran and reduction of road noises ................ and opted to use the stock size for fuel saving and retaining suspension warranty

In case you are wondering how did I fill more than 30 liters of petrol, I usually add up the partial fill-ups with full fill up.

suzuk guys are saying try to drive it with light foot and move around 60-70km and get avg of 20-23 and i got it on motorway driving at 80km/hr and avg was 21 and in city varyign avg of 17-20

It's average will increase with time. Do check tire pressure, keep air filter clean, warm up the car before driving and change oil on time.

the air filter is a bit difficult to clean but i still try to do that. what you suggest that how often should i clean the air filter ?
