Mehran Experience Tips and suggestions

Hi guys,
i have mehran 2001 VXR
i have 1 question.

1- the gear foundation breaks after 2 months, im a new driver not a cheeta driver, it happens twice, my car running is almost 50KM/day

the foundation that i put in the car have 6 months warranty, so the shop keeper told me that there is some thing wrong in car or may be in gear levers, because it not breaks in 2 mounts.

one more question...
one month ago when i start my mehran the sulf goes blank and no sound and nothing start the engine,it happen 1,2 times in a week,
after 3 weeks i go to a mechanic,the mechanic open the sulf and check it , sulf was fine, then check the bettry and said that the bettry needs to replace, i bought OSAKA 60 AMP (3100 rs + 700 for old bettry)
so every thing goes fine,
in last 3 days the same thing happen to me twice,
when i start the sulf, nothing happen, engine goes full blank,
then i use dhaka start, but after 6,7 feet dhaka the sulf goes perfect.

so confused !!! :s

check the positive wire coming to self aka sulf from the battery it could be loose tight it and it will work btw 60amp battery kuch ziyada toh nahi hogya i never gone about 38amp

hello agian ! i have a 2008 mehran as u know but it have a 40 litr cylinder which gives 170 approz on motorway! is it ok ?

its batter then ok
mine did 160 on motorway

its ok. my mehran usually does 171-172 km per cylinder. and in city id does 125 km per cylinder.

Mehran is not fuel efficient car.so i sold.

well i dont know about the +ve wire, but i'll find on google

there was only 500rs difference b/w 60AMP and 40AMP
40AMP=2600
50AMP=2900
60AMP=3100
by giving my old battery which worth 700

its simple check the + sign on battery and a wire will be going to the sulf
it could be another problem
just pour hot water on battery terminals as they get dirty then this happens

hey ek, what are the steps in mehran tuning and what parts do i need for general tuneup? please lay out all the steps in detail.

a general tune up for a mehran is simple most of the time its electrics which are wrong in case of mehran it's distributor point as many of them are china made so they get faulty very early and i haven't seen CDI too much its 1 car in 100's
secondly when changing the air filter stick to one brand in my case it was and still is Guard as when ever i changed the brand of air cleaner then my car needed tappet adjustment on CNG i know this problem is not related but it was with my car
Oil filter again Guard best in the bunch
Engine oil best one if u get original its Zic A 10w 40 i used shell and found it crap engine sounded like its a diesel charade
then comes the turn of tuning now i should say if ur carb needs a service batter to do it with a crab cleaner liquid WD 40 its Easy and saves a lot of time and money
CNG adjustment comes in last check the car from ENERCON Computerized tuning as had adjustment never trust those ustads they can't do precision work
and if ur car is 5 years old and driven 65+K then one thing u must do full CNg kit and tank service then my friend for coming 2-4 years CNG trouble will be minimized

i have a 2001 petrol mehran and i have got a problem.
its like my car is running on cng means pick is quite low. also when i am in first gear and i press accelerator it feels like it has hit the rev limit and feels like someone is pulling the car back. instead of speed increase car speed goes down as i press accelerator. what is the problem?

My goodness the problem was in plug wires and coil wire. i replaced both and car is back on track with a bang. cant believe plug wires do that much bad to the pick.

yar i talked to the sethi motors guy about tuning. he said they carge 750 for the point which usually runs 10,000 kms. while other points available in market run 3000km max. i started to laughing coz i am using a point bought from a normal shop for 12000 km now without tuning. now may dad has started saying me khuda ka wasta hai tuning karwa lo gari ki.

so is their point valid that? what brand do suzuki people have?

and also what engine jain to use in tuning? any specific brand?

LOL @ their statement i think one available in 600 on local market they are selling at 750 and yar agar yahi chaloo ge toh sardi mein masla de ga ur Father is right about this stuff but in summers it will keep on going i think lahore and peshawar have same type of climate so what i can see is jab mausam thanda hwa toh masla de ge
and do computerized tuning on CNG after that

My Kamanis are making squeaking sound due to dryness. Mechanic has suggested to get oil sprayed underneath from any service center. Mostly people are against spraying oil underneath the car as it is bad for rubber parts like boots, bushes. What is the recommended way to reduce this sound then?

don't do this or u will ruin all rubber bushings of the car and then all the times it will be a problem
well take it to a KAmani wala and he will open and grease them plus ask him to change rear bushings as well
and a layer of 'nawar' inserted between each layer to make them stop rubbing aginst one and other

^^ yes.. my chacha`s mehran making noise , one of the mechanic told him that spray oil in lower part.. he told me Beta please nechy oil lagwa ke leee aoo.. I said no.. It is harmful.. he told me that ok beta !!
but next day he did this job... the next day rear tire got jammed!! I inspect the one of the bush is out of its place!! I think that is handbrake bush!! So , My chacha told me Beta you are right
