Bolan Vans have 3 leaves on each rear wheel and Mehran one, go to a suzuki dealership and look under the cars.

What is the shape of rear kamanis straight or convex? mine is straight with three in number?

Yes mehran now has 3 leaf springs in one set nowdays, and they are almost straight....

We have a Mehran as second car we bought in march 2013 and it has driven only 2,600 kms so far. In couple of months ago I had to replace it's clutch cable and all bushes.

What's wrong with my Mehro in your opinion @ekdrifter? Is it oil or rings. I used 10W-30 this time. I use 20W-40 usually.

When I rev up the engine in 2nd 3rd gear I hear strange noise from engine bay. It sounds like a steel object is being dragged on road. The noise goes away when I lift the foot from gas pedal is it normal.

Also I am feeling that fuel gauge needles moves very fast from to right of center even after 70 kms.

How many kms you guys usually get in full tank of E2

I don't know what happened but the mechanic told me "bhai garari (gear) toot gaya hai" he replaced the gear and I was good to go

if the engine oil is more than 4 month old replace it

your car is running too rich on petrol or burning oil any reduction in oil level?

you mean new mehran have proper suspension unlike those "kamaniya" or what ever it is called :-!

60 ampere battery or 50 ampere batter for mehran vxr (tracker, alarm system and amplifier in car )

leaf spring is Kamani, old mehrans had single leaf spring that often broke under load. ride quality is same as before.

instead of using a new suspension napaksuzuki increased the no of kamani's :S

Thanks. Oil change was on my agenda. Right now at Suzuki workshop undergoing complete check up tuning.

Update: Car felt lot better after tuning, oil change and brake service. Noise disappeared. All jobs done in 3200 rs
