Mehran Gears stuck after rain?

My car gear is stuck at neutral when i start the car and it only moves when the car is turned off..It rained heavily 2 days ago and i had to drive through flooded roads so i know it has something to do with water.Can anyone guide me how to solve this issue or how much money would i have to pay a mechanic to fix this?

Get the car washed properly and it should resolve the issue. Get gear box and gear changing linkage cleaned with pressure washer.

@coold9812 did it work? I am facing the same issue after cleaning the engine. Gear is not engaging from nuetral. It does engage when the car is off. Tried adjusting the vlutch cable, didnt help.
