Mehran K6A Engine

Dear All,

I am silent member of Pakwheels, i have Mehran 2005 which is fully fit by body wise but its engine is weak, i dont want to overhaul the engine as you know our kharadiyas. I am interested to install the K6A engine into my mehran and for this i read almost every thread related to mehran engine swap and find that almost everyone is saying that K6A engine is bolt on into mehran, but when i talk to mechanic they says that there is engine mounting alteration into mehran for K6A. Please let me know what is reality and if anyone swap this engine into mehran please let me have the pics so i can show this to my mechanic and achieve the goal, you can suggest the mechanic as well who is installing the same engine, will really appreciate your help.

@faisaln_ahmed k6a is not a bolt on swap in mehran got it done a few months back in my 1997 mehran mounting needs alteration but trust me when done right it you will be a happy man it depends on your mechanic + electrician to get the things right as if wired correctly it will not trouble you my mechanic did a wonderful job but unfortunately electrician messed up a few thing but got them right my self witch check engine light cleared car is performing very well MashAllah fuel average is around 16 km/l in local and and around 18-19 on log route have taken it from peshawar to islamabad a few times been to murree nathiagali no issues at all care fell more powerful than on f8b as f8b is only 29kw and this k6a is around 40kw

@faisaln_ahmed you would need to modify fuel tank to fit fuel pump for efi axles will have to be redone wiring engine mountings go for it if you have patience and have basic knowledge of stuff like wiring etc it took almost a week to get everything sorted expense was around 50k as i kept the old engine and gear with me and change some other stuff like radiator and ac work etc but since then no problems were faced

Thanks for your information, infect i want to reply you many months ago but the website is not allowed me to reply maybe there is some technical fault.
Anyways i need little more help from you, can you please upload the engine mounting pics so i have better idea what need to be done. Further more please give the details of your mechanic so i can contact him for this work.

my mechanic is in peshawar bro at the moment it would be difficult for me to upload pictures as the car is now with my cousin i will ask him for the pictures for mounts i can guide you with mounts i have had installed 4 mounts 3 foundations are installed on mehran's original mounts with custom made brackets 1 was installed at right side near washer bottle
