Mehran Wind Shield Self Shattering Guidance Required - Rawalpindi

AOA Experts.
i will be brief. 2006 mehran. bought 2nd hand. windshield shattered during night on 9 january. Consequenttly i bought new for Rs. 1600/- from Waseem Autos Saddar Rawalpindi. The fitter told me that all my windows were closed till top thats why windshield shattered due to pressure. (and it was Gassy. thats what he told me, and i again bought gassy one).
last night i was driving and was in a traffic jam while all of a sudden the newly fitted (fitted on 11 january) screen also shattered on its own.

  Before i install new screen. i want to ask from experts what could be the possible reason for this? because this time my windows were not fully closed. and it was new screen. my point is

  a.  Can it be the rubber around the screen?
  b.  Can it be due to fitting fault?
  c.  Had the screen expired its shelf life before i bought it?
  d.  Is this "GASSY" screen this much dangerous??? this time i would go for the costliest avail on market but why does this
       happen in the first place? as i m psychologically too concious now, it scares me.

Local made tempered screens r very notorious they usually behave like that but a bad fitting can also cause the damage, better get laminated screen.

Dear.........never use gassy or local wind screen........always get the genuine.........will cost you about 2500 to 3000 from Chah e sultan.
get it fixed from an expert denter...........not a local road walker

Get oem windscreen from Suzuki Dealers and let them fit it

I am so very obliged for answers. very supportive and informative. yes. i did use a gassy one and it was fitted by a street hawker. no nonsense this time. thanks all.

I hp its not a major accidented car with glass fitting base out of level
I wnt b suprisd evn if its non accidented n not in level, its suzuki after all

Gassy screen = tempered glass which breaks to small pieces when hit. The original windscreen is laminated, it doesnt break, rather it bends where hit. The gas filled one is dangerous especially for your eyes.

I know a person who is now blind in one eye due to a tempered windshield of a mehran breaking at 100 km/h when a stone got hit.

Always use laminated glass for front windshield and use correct sealant to seal it to the car (not bathroom RTV). If your tempered screen is breaking on its own then the body is out of shape and the installer is jamming the glass to the car causing the stress and eventual shatter.

TO make sure ur mehroo is not accidented go to suzuki 3s dealership and measure the windscreen side to side of a 0 meter mehran and then measure urs and use inchiyyy Tape
and never use glassy screen use laminated one that glassy is trouble when hit
u can get jdm one or new from 3s which will be better but take it to a denter if u find something is wrong he might do something if ur cars frame is deformed so screen will not break

no need to measure a new car - the dealership has the build diagrams too, they use them to measure the car when they straighten it out on the pulling jig.
