So my budget is around 2.6 million at max and i am looking for a toyota JDM sedan, i have two options, an Axio G or a cheaper Premio X 1.8 2007 and onwards. Now i have been told by many of my friends and a few dealers to go for an Axio G since in this budget i can get a decently clean car and should avoid Premio X 1.8 since the car is worth 2.8 to 3 million PKR for a decent one and in my budget i will get a junk one which will need a few lacs of maintenance work. Particularly most of them talk about CVT issues which if found would cost roughly 2 lacs(not sure exactly about it) First thing, Premio is my favorite car, secondly i know that these two cars are simply not comparable since the both belong to different classes, but the problem is since they both have the same kind of gear i.e CVT and both are jdm so parts are equally expensive there's no surety that i will find an axio which will not have cvt issues since there's no way to check the health of the belt apart from a test drive so the ambiguity is equal in both cars, also both cars are jdm so the probability of meter reversal is equal in both cars too.
What do you guys suggest, which one is the safer bet?
