Isnt it talking about something similar to the M5's P400 mode which upon press of a button unleashes teh full power?
Quite frankly Even searching for it didnt lead me to any article regarding which technology or technicals which it uses?! Or simply; How are teh rest of Power engaged or dis-engaged!!

yup, wankel engines never made it into production but had they made it then for sure you could have expected that almost ALL cars on the roads would be running rotary engines right now.
it's clear that MB is the most copied manufacturer and designer in the world, and they set most of the trends.
imagine an XLi with a 500cc rotary engine,.. LOL!
LOL, Apart from the funny side..there's a very Pakistani friendly side as well. Duty, customs cuts would have made the XLI quite a lot cheaper plus the Global-Warming guys would had then take another decade to activate!! 
Though the German car history is very huge and somehow all the heroes of German Auto world were born brothers!!
