thanks...there are plenty of places ..you can visit tilha mercedes workshop on ring road peshawar, and there second workshop is in pindi, peshawar gt road opposite to koh-e-noor floor mill.

little update: amg 17" monoblocks ,amg steering wheel, and wood panels installed

You won't be able to fit in e500's engine in it without changing all the suspension and brake system. Plus e500's front fenders are a bit wider than all the other w124s

forget brakes -

the steering box in the V8 engine W124 models is different and mounts lower in the car, the floor is different too to fit the exhausts, the seats are different too to fit that modified floor.

@Xulfiqar i know its bit hard ....dimensions are different. lower tunnel ,mount positions, differentials, and many other things are different ...because it was made by porsche and mercedes..
but still its possible....

even one guy in russia swapped it for 7.3 litre brabus engine.

yes it can be done, but takes a lot of resources and a lot of time, the usual work being done in Pakistan with oxy acetylene torch wont do it.

Exactly. Plus e500's only came in left hand drive. Any familiar person will recognise a fake e500 if it's RHD

@lxd Amazing, by far the best restoration I have ever seen on pakwheels.. i also desire to do something like this with an old merc one day. Do you mind sharing the tentative cost figures.. cost of the car you bought... cost of parts you installed .. labor .. and half cut..

Invariably one of the best restoration jobs I have ever come across. Just needs the correct engine. Toyota in a merc doesn't make sense to me.

8 cylinder means much heavier engine. Then these things also need changing complete front suspension e.g, shocks coil springs hub assemblies rotors brake system floors of car due to the different routing of exhaust system, ECU, transmission rear differential along with axles, interior will also need stuff as original e500 came only as lhd. My advice don't go for it. Now that you have bought this car if you had asked for advice before purchasing I would have advice to go for e220 as it came with m111 engine which is vtec and more powerful than 230e. But now wish you best of luck. Your car comes out beautiful. Enjoy it
