I am planning to buy mercedes c 180 2006 or 2007 model.
I have some questions
1-Are they mechanically sound
2-How much maintenance per year should be expected in an average car
3-Is it possible to insure them
4-I have heard people charge lot of money for repair of these cars please cla

I had one. The most common issue in my opinion is the timing chain that develops a slack at around 140k mark so much so that it would grid down the teeth on intake camshaft adjuster. My friend had one with leaky fuel injectors. Parts aren't too expensive if you trust Chinese parts. Pretty simple engine to work on but unfortunately not too many independents mechanics available in Pakistan. Transmission is rock solid.
