Metal Nail inside car tank

My kids pushed in a metal nail and a few leaves inside the car petrol nosel. (mira 2018). i managed to removed the leaves but the nail slided inside and vanished.

should i relax or get the tank opened for cleaning??

Get it cleaned, don't take any risks. It might clog the suction end of the fuel pump, though it is highly unlikely.

leave it as it is. nail being heavy will rest over tank bottom. It is not an immediate threat.
if & when there is a fuel filter change required, mechanic can pull it out using magnet probe from pump assembly hole in fuel tank.

i have seen a guy doing shaf shaf and people start spitting out nails, big and small, u can ask that guy, v popular on social media, and as far as i know its free

Could be very light though no ? It could float rather than sink.

sure you may be right please do an experiment.

please pour 5 liters of petrol in a clear container, drop a nail in it. make a video of floating needle post on you tube share the link.

you can then help me join primary school at start of new session in 2021
