Got a chance to drive one of my in laws car in lahore. The car drives really nicely, seats are a treat, everything feels premium.

But the car has glitches. The screen went blank 2 times. It has so many features to play from. I really don't know how would people fix issues if things go wrong.

Have heard of someone with a messed up transmission and replacement costs are around 1.3 million rs. That too would be imported on order. The car would remain parked until then

The fuel average isn't very good either. The meter showed 14/14.5 /100 liters. Not sure if that ok or less then competition.

So I assume this price increase is with at least 6 month cbu import ban with already late deliveries with thousands of cars listed in the used car section of pakwheels, pretty much putting the full stop to the journey of MG HS, RIP!

Not really in fact i personally think it will bring more people to MG. People in Pakistan love working with the mentality that more expensive = better. In fact now people instead of comparing it with Sportage or Tucson will see it as an upgrade from the former. Yes i know that sounds very dumb but our desi mentality as seen in the car market is very similar to this, it's also the reason why Elantra being much higher priced was still able to gain decent sales. It's also the same reason so many Land Cruiser's sell when there are so many better and much cheaper alternatives priced under it

Totally wrong. In a year time when there will be broken down MG's with no spare parts and no after sale support its resale will be zero and its already not selling well and people are ready to get rid of it even on invoice price or below invoice price.
There is no competition of cruiser and people buy it in all over the world not only in Pakistan because of its reliability and Cruiser has a history.

If there is one crossover which is a safe buy i.e Sportage or Tucson if it is available rest all of the china shit will vanish in few years.

I'm averaging 11km/liter in Lahore. The avg drops to 9-10km/l when stuck in rush hour traffic for long periods of time. For non-rush hour/highway drive it does 12km/liter.

Transmission is solid so far, only issue is that its a bit slow to change gear e.g. if I'm driving at 70km/h and want to speed upto 100, I press accelerator and nothing happens for 1-2 seconds then it downshifts and starts accelerating. Not too big of an issue but could probably be fixed by a software update - if MG decides to provides any.

Features and build quality is pretty good so far, much better than PKDM.

This will be a big hit to the future of MG HS. The demand has already reduced significantly and increasing the price by almost a million might prove to be the last nail in the coffin.
I personally really like the car but sadly this will put such a good product's future in jeopardy.

But it’s good news for current investors as now there will be shortage of HS in market
All current HS for sale have appreciated

Also there is no difference in exclusive and trophy
So it’s a better decision to buy HS now if one is interested
