A lot of discussion has been done till now on the under invoicing issue and fazal sb has done wonderfully well on this issue. My 2 cents are as follow:-
1. People are confusing the retail price vs manufacturing price of the car. MG which is available in Uk and Aus is being produced in China and ship/export to these countries.
2. The price in these countries is USD 26k which means that it already includes export duties of that respective countries+ freight charges. This means the cost is on the lower side and not 26k.
3. The best way to look at it to see the import duties of cars in Uk and Aus and then do the respective calculation.
4. The issue does not seem to be under invoicing and also they wont have gone through this channel due to large presence in pakistan and major investment.
5. Lastly even if they start local manfacturing dont expect the price to be around 16k as price in China is 11k because most of the parts and engine ( which is i am not sure ) will be imported. Here it will be only assembly plant so effectively price will be same almost. Also once the factory is opened they would have their daily operating expenses as well .

As fazal sb the bigger issue was registration of vechile and secondly when they will start locally manufacturing cars. First one has been solved and for second one we need to wait.

yar baqi sab "sasti" gariyan bhi takreeban isi price range k as pas launch hui hain... Proton, Glory, etc...
han ek kamal feature nahi hai un main bas ambient light : )

I think he is comparing it to Tucson and Sportage in de tou mere hisab se bohat behtar hai HS features and quality wise
I think he is also referring to the fact that HS is imported and if you compare imported cars in the crossover segment like say vitara crv wagera in se tou behtar features hain aur sasti hai HS
X70 is about the same price in cbu but they are selling only 100 of those I think and personally X70s exterior is a bit ugly IMO but still HS ko sasti gari kehna thik tou ni magar ghalat bhi ni

MG Hs and ZS both have six airbags along with proton x70
Glory has 4 airbags while Tucson and Sportage have 2 each

in UK mg HS is 25000 pounds which is exactly equal to 55 lacs in pakistan.

mg3 could be between 26.5 to 29.5 going by that rate

In Australia MG3 starts at 17000 AUD which translates to 21.5 lacs I think which in that price will be a steal but I agree with you if it comes it will be 26-27 lacs

feature wise HS behtar hai , buty quality wise KIA and Hyundai are well recognized market brands all over the globe

Yes proton's exterior is a bit dated, but again looks are subjective matter..
lekin phir bhi , MG HS ko to aisay sasti gari keh rahay hain jaisay sab se sasti yehi gari launch hui hai compact suvs main , bulkay sorry abhi to proper launch bhi nahi hui hai...bas import ho rahi hai like any other imported jdms, etc.

If CKD carry all the equipment and features as CBU.

55 lac ki gari CHEAP aur sasti kahan se ai?
Ye to dono haathon se lutna hua.

MG HS being cheap and Chinese at 11k $ import price should have been priced at 4 million MAX.

Price it at 3.5 to 4 million, its manufacturing cost is already too cheap.. THEN call it sasti.

If that happens its going to be an epic success just look at how it looks it’s features and performance but still it is probably not possible maybe as a Ckd might make sense once production starts
