Hyundai staff extremely unprofessional & No warranty claim acceptance.

Please see another thread of gear problem in 800 km only & Hyundai company not accepting the claim.

Remember first problem was fire in engine.

I have the same apprehensions
But looking at their Islamabad showroom and the ones in Lahore
MG lounge and MG capital
They seem good considering that MG only came in November 2020
It’s only been 3 months

Despite all our concerns,
If we look at the car and compare it to the competition it’s a in another league for sure
It has so many meaningful features
The build quality is very good
Seats are soft and plush

The build quality is evident with the attention to details
There are automatic vanity lights
Lights in the glovebox
Hydraulics in the hood
Seatbelt sensors for front and rear seats
Front and rear wipers with rain sensors
Emergency hazard sign in the trunk
All interior lights are LED
Keys are color matched to the car color
Owners manual comes in a leather cover
Michelin tyres from the factory
They could have easily provided some cheaper brand

All these things aren’t exactly features
They show that there hasn’t been any cost cutting
Grande has only just added a light in the glovebox after being in the market for the last 5 years

We own a 2015 Grande that doesn’t even have an immobilizer
This was the level of cost cutting we have experienced in Pakistan

MG HS is definitely an innovative product for the price
Our automotive industry is extremely stale

It’s 2021 and radar+ Blindspot monitoring is nowhere to be seen
Even Audi’s imported here do not have these features

I really hope MG succeeds because it’ll finally spark a change
People will look more at what a car has to offer rather then what it will sell for or how cheap it’s parts are

None of the other cars have 6 airbags
That alone is a really good selling point

Certainly MG is the first car with these features in local market when you sit inside it you know that you are sitting in a car not a tonga

The euro NCAP crash tests for MG HS also show that the car is very well designed
It has a very good crash score

So in terms of safety this car is industry leading (Pakistan)
In terms of tech it’s leading
In terms of build quality it’s the best available right now
Only car with comparable build quality is sportage
Tuscon is not a well made car, it has a lot of rattling plastics

The only place this car is lacking is parts and service
That too will automatically be fixed once a good number of vehicles reach Pakistan

By July there should be at least 1500 MG HS in Pakistan. parts will follow demand

Agreed MG HS is revolutionary in terms of features
I think there will be 1500+ HS units by end of March probably
In March ZS deliveries are also starting

The EURO US crash testing for Toyota and Honda is also top tier and best out there.. Problems starts when the things go CKD and at that point, first we dont have the same level of refinement, equipment, features and safety and secondly the overseas rating cant be applied on CKD.

Let's see if CKD HS or other MG products follow the same level of refinement as CBU.

Definitely CKD will be the true test for MG

HS quality is brilliant and im a critic of chinese cars. Right now HS is the only car whose NCAP tests are accurate, as rolla and civic have trimmed safety as compared to those which were tested in ncap.
I also wish and pray that MG can keep importing cars like that, its good for tge consumer cuz anyway we are paying more than anyone in the world for our cars, all brands. Atleast paying high to MG will ensure a standard.
However the real test of these cars will be their reliability. In pakistan we sell 10 year old used cars for high price because they have well designed engines, electronics and suspensions which last a long time. Lets see if that stays true for the chinks.

Engine is the heart of any car. MG success is based on long term performance of its turbo engine in Pakistani Environment. All toys in the car for playing are not first priority.

MG KIA HYUNDAI etc etc have obtained license to assemble / manufacture the automobiles in Pakistan. based on such permissions business houses are allowed to import X number of CBU vehicles. Incase of MG there appears to be no infrastructure shaping up for assembly of vehicles in Pakistan. The address on documentation is of HAIER assembly plant in lahore, which is for electronic appliances.

investing buying a motor vehicle in Pakistan is huge investment. Without parts and technical support from the manufacturer it is very high risk.

Recently seen MG HS and have to say it's a beauty. People here who are criticizing management for falsely claiming it as a British brand and those who are treating MG at par with other Chinese brands are forgetting that unlike DFSK, Changan, or Proton, MG vehicles haven't been designed by Chinese or Malaysians but by the Britishers and their QC policies most likely have stayed unaffected irrespective of the ownership change. It's like when a foreign bank is acquired by a local bank or an MNC like ICI is sold off by foreigners and owned by Lucky group, the processes, controls, global standards, management quality, accountability standards and SOPs stays largely unaffected. Chinese owners of MG must have benefitted greatly with the acquisition. One can clearly see the difference after comparing the looks of MG vehicles with the unimaginative and (for some people) ugly appearance of Glory Pro or Proton's X70 exterior body shape.

Do we have lumbar support and auto dimming rear view mirror or not in the MG HS as I haven't seen it in person. But from the videos I have seen there is no lumbar support in the driver's seat not sure about the auto dimming mirror. Both of these features are very handy

Why so inactivity today? khair I planned to get my car ppf. On one pakwheeler's recommendation, being based in Isb, took quote from Protek car care. And these are the following quotes:

Guys you have me totally confused.However one thing for sure that I have shortlisted MG-HS and Proton X-70.Tucson,Glory totally out but Sportage can squeeze back into the list if they make these additions starting with change of insignia/logo/badge.Electric seats for both Driver and Passenger with lumber support.Fog lamps to at least have halogen and not ordinary warm yellow bulb.Rear lights to be redesigned for above bumper placement.Convert single reverse light to two for both sides.Head unit size to 10ins.Wireless charger.They may keep the Panaromic roof for AWD only and give a normal size sunroof for FWD.
Right now a MG HS fan only if a clear road map as to its production be laid out.100 Octane will take it with pinch of salt.Views/Advice more than welcome.
