39 new MG HS ads came up on pakwheels in just one day after deliveries. This car is literally being bought for own hence why you don't see them being registered much. People are being too lured by that 1 million profit.

Pakistanis......the most courageous group of people in the world. Would buy a really expensive car which has almost no spare parts availability. No proper 3s dealerships. Yet it looks good and as everyone else is getting it, so why not.

I think i read somewhere above you have booked one as well. And i dont mean to belittle you. I am calling you courageous. It requires guts to take such risks.

Please dont compare a Japanese hybrid with a Chinese product sir. Please. Thats blasphemy.....

The realiability quotient that comes with "Japanese" brands is what makes even their accidented JDMs sell so well in Pakistan.

None the less....bold move by all MG owners. I just hope and pray Mr. Afridi doesnt wrap up after a couple of years.

No worries it's not belittling it's facts. I'm not gonna act like spare parts aren't an issue. Someone above shared of how pathetic the repair facilities are. Personally, I don't mind cuz i'm used to going to wierd places and roaming around a lot for super specific parts

Boss i am with you on every single point you raised. However for the price increase I don't know how realistic this is but someone in the MG fan club claimed that their ftiend works at MG lounge and told them that bookings will reopen in aug for ckd which will be priced at 6 million. Sounds super sketchy and unreliable but i don't think MG can risk increasing prices now after what they've been through on CBU atleast. Recurring losses through ckd does seem like a realistic possibility.

They opened LC for 5000 units and still more MG vehicles will come as CBU.. MG is not doing charity.. an increase in MG price is possible.

Also 6 Million for CKD would again be expensive. If CBU after all these taxes is 5.4 then why 6 Million for CKD ?. CKD have huge incentives from government under auto policy.

Like i said it is a very sketchy rumor however we can be definite that the ckd will definitely not be any cheaper than the cbu. Sportage and tucson are evidence or actually the tucson had even increased 200k.

Tucson and Sportage were never offered as CBU like proton X70. Also keep in mind Proton X70 CKD price is also lower than the CBU X70.

Update: Recieved my confirmation letter today alhalmdulillah. It's dated on 28th April 2021. Price is still mentioned as 5,485,000. Tentative delivery was july now it's july/aug

Keep in mind, in partial payment, the price on the day of delivery is applicable. Additionally are you getting a CBU or CKD ? Does the letter say anything?

Lastly, same letter were received by individuals who booked in December and still waiting . So, you have be on top of these guys..

Yes clearly states that pricing at delivery will be applicable for both partial and even full payment
Yes people had confirmation letters of March that still haven't gotten it.
But like i said since it is dated April 28th that means that it is the most updated and they would be aware of the new stock situation.

Does not state anywhere about ckd or cbu but since booking was on March 1 CBU is expected.
Definitely will be chasing them day and night just waiting for delivery month to come a little closer

I’ve also received my booking confirmation letter from MG capital
The price mentioned is 5,492,000
Initially my tentative delivery was June. Now it’s july/August

When did you book your vehicle?
If you booked it any time before March you’re definitely getting a CBU

Also if they delivered a CKD they'd have pay heavy compensation for late deliveries so I’m sure it’s also in MG Pakistan’s interest to deliver CBUs to customers for now

The percentage of dealers buying this car is just insane compared to rrgular buyers. Tons of people are buying 3-5 like it's a joke. Go to the mg pages on fb and you will see people bashing MG for delivering to dealers only and those same people will put up their MG for sale on the very day it arrives.

Would really love to know if anyone in this thread owns an HS and can tell about the different aspects of the car. I've been hearing some stuff about the car's transmission issues and would really like someone to elaborate on that.

Yes Bro i m facing it too. The transmission is noisy and clunky at low speed while downshifting and even it feels jerky sometimes only at low speeds. This is may b bcoz of DCT transmission but it shoulnt b happening in a new car. It was OK at first 1000km but after that the issue is quite noticible.
