From what I know, you can use the vehicle as long as you want as long as it passes regular environmental and safety inspections. There isn't a limit on how old a car has to be, to be driven on roads.

I might be a bit wrong. I can't recall, I guess 13 years time is for motorbike or motorcar. I'm bit confused on that, but yes there is some 13 years thing. Do a bit of google and you might be able to find their vehicle regulations.

The 13 year life of Chinese vehicles is a myth. When researching BYD's reliability, I found proofs of BYD taxis in China that have crossed 400,000~700,000 km on original batteries and they still had slightly above 80% SoH.
I am sure if you do some research, you will find similar cases for good Chinese brands like Geely, SAIC, GWM, Cherry, Changan, and many more. These companies are now operating globally and we have enough data to find its reliability.

Even the new companies (founded in the last decade) from China like Xpeng, Nio, Xiaomi have disrupted the automotive market. All I see in the global news is legacy automakers are in trouble wherever Chinese are entering.

Observing the global markets, even the blind can see the future of automotive world belongs to China. This is the major reason Europe and US have applied tariffs to slow them down to save their industry.

I took delivery of my MG HS PHEV last month and have run it for around 700 kms so far. The plug in feature is great and helps town running on battery alone which can be charged for free during daytime if you have a solar system. For longer runs there is no range anxiety as the 1.5T engine runs on petrol. The SUV runs smoothly with very little external noise. It has a large number of features which are not usable in our city traffic. It has tremendous and smooth acceleration.
I would have liked to have an indication of how much the engine has run to help optimal and cost effective engine maintenance. The internal flexible cover of the panoramic roof is thin and would cause heat ingestion in the cabin during summer. This needs to be supplemented with after market Heat & UV coatings.
I am rather disappointed with MG after sale service. I misplaced the Owner's Manual a few days after delivery but have the Maintenance/Serice book. Asked my dealer, sent an email and a written request MG JW Automobiles but after well over a month have received no response. This does not speak well for MG in a competitive market.

The article explained quite well that beyond the hybrid savings people also pay extra for all the other features that come extra with it. Another thing that often gets left out in these discussions is that whilst you pay more upfront, you also sell it for more than the other variants so I think everything comes back full circle and you end up saving in fuel. Earlier there was a risk when hybrids started up showing in the beginning because there was not enough technical know how but with these cars being under warranty I think it does make sense to go for a hybrid.

MG HS PHEV has 16.6 Kwh Battery and gives an electric range of 52 Km only. That makes approx 3 km/KWh. This is a terrible EV efficiency and makes the cost of running almost equal to petrol, if u r charging from Wapda source
