Michelin Primacy 4 Ownership

Which dealer exactly? Did he not mention you that primacy 4 is not officially imported tyre? why did you not go for XM2?
Anyway whats the date and country of manufacture

Dealer name is Hassan Tyres, I got their number from Zafar Enterprises as the number mentioned on the site isn't correct. The tyre is made in Italy and the manufacturing label is 2820. The tyres come in 1 year warranty and upon inquiring he did mention that we have all the custom invoices and receipts you can check yourself. I also scanned one of the barcode of the tyres and it took me to the official page with the tyre specifications.

The reason of choosing Primacy 4 is its superiority to XM2 and it being the latest offering from Michelin.

Brother it's located in Furqania Complex, new MA Jinnah Road. Dealing person is Mr. Baqar 03323512397, I found him very calm and cooperative, I accidentally got short of cash and he said, don't worry take the tyres and pay me later at your convenience. I got the tyres on partial payment and completed the remainder on the next day.

BENEFITS OF NITROGEN GAS

Always get your tires filled with Nitrogen gas instead of regular compressed air. It has several advantages over the conventional air, some of them include:

1. Helps keep the tyre running temperature low
2. Increases tyre life - operating temperature plays a vital part here
3. Maintains tyre pressure for a longer duration - due to its chemical structure
4. Doesn't react with the metal rim or tyre material

Primacy 4 is good tyre but is NOT imported by Zafar enterprises, so it may be a self import like tyrepoint does or its a smuggled tyre. Regarding superiority, its same as XM2 not too much difference

Bro it's an officially imported tyre as I confirmed from Zafar Enterprises, they said we do import Primacy 4 in 195/65R15 and whichever dealer you're gonna purchase it from should have the manufacturing year of 2020.

From the superiority standpoint, I'd say yes there shouldn't be much of a difference since both of these models are manufactured by the same company and recommended for passenger cars.

SHORT UPDATE AFTER A SHORT HIGHWAY RIDE

Last night, I with my family members decided to dine out on one of the restaurants built on M-9. Having installed the Primacy 4, it was the first longest ~80 KM ride thus far.

Believe me guys when I say this: I wouldn't have believed how much of a difference a good pair of tyres could make had I not installed this. I was constantly hitting 120 KPH and not even for a second I doubted its handling. I'm actually blown away by the performance of these tyres on highway. Grip, handling, braking, everything is spot on. Felt like I'm driving with wider tyres having better grip but the size is actually exactly the same as my previous Dunlop tyres (195/65R15). I wish I had installed these pair of tyres before the first ever longest road trip of my life (LHE - KHI) on the same car.

Alhamdolillah very much satisfied with the performance so far. Excited to make more road trips!

PS: Dunlop has no match with Michelin.

Glad you liked it, above all Michelin is not as prone to punctures and sidewall damage as yokos and continental.
And since it has good treadwear rating so your old tyres are adjusted for a reasonable price, like in my case after adjustment, each tyre costed me 13k.
Shopkeepers who buy old tyres give you price based on few things: size, number of punctures, tread left.

Yeah I think the best source of information is the internet and your own research. In the market, you'll find every individual giving out different opinion based on their experience, and in majority of the cases, for their own personal benefits. Like I was reading a similar thread on PW and the author of the post mentioned that one of the dealers in ISB recommended him Continental over Michelin and said Michelin tires are prone to sidewall damage.

My previous set was sold very cheap, so I'm hoping it would give me a good value when the time comes. It's not going anywhere for at least 4 to 5 years anyways.

I have also been using Primacy 4 for the past 12K km. 215/55 16 in Civic X.
Grip is very good on highway and city driving. I think noise is alright, not very quiet but not harsh or noisy.
Damage is subjective but I feel it is not very sturdy. I have had a single puncture in one of the tires, but two tires have sidewall damage due to minor scraping on the curb.
Overall good experience until now. Really enjoy the grip and comfort.

hitting curb almost always results in sidewall damage. As long as potholes arent causing sidewall damage its good.

Where did your purchase and how did you verify these arent smuggled? Have you used XM2 in the past, wondering how these tires compare.

Called Zafar Enterprises, they are only importing XM2+ tire. Hassan Tyre said they also have XM2 only, called few other some have Primacy 4 but its only available in larger sizes not in 195/65-R15.

Brother, my experience has been phenomenal so far. These tires provide good amount of traction in the city and as well as on the highways/motoways. As far as the road noise is concerned, it is decent I would say, not the quietest of the tires I've ever used but certainly not a deal breaker. The road grip and overall stability they provide is among the best I have experienced. I haven't had a single puncture on any of the tires; I regularly use tire gels to keep them from hardening and cracking.

Okay, it seems they are no longer importing Primacy 4 now. I purchased the tires from Hassan Tyre about an year ago and at that time they had officially imported Primacy 4 in stock.

I'm using XM2s. Great tyres, minimum road noise and no puncture 4 years and 40k+ kms still a lot of tread remaining

We have XM2s but after 3 years the rubber hardened and cracks have started to appear. Going to give a chance to XM2+ now
