Mira 2010 spare parts price and cost

I have a mira 2010. Recently I repaired steering rack with axil and expenses 35k.
Now mechanic advised to change your gear foundation because it's not matching with your new steering settings and drive will be more smooth. Kabuli gear foundation is 2500-3000 and new one is 4000.
Should I change the the gear foundation?

I had a Mira 2009 and got its work done a few years back. I remember getting a kabuli rack for around 3500 and an axle for 3500 as well. So 35000 seems alot to me even now. Foundation rate at that time was around 1500-2000 for a kabuli one. I am a little unsure on the logic given below by the mechanic.

There is NO relation between an engine mount (desi term: gear foundation) and steering rack. You need to change your mechanic as this one sounds like a con artist.
