Salam Gurus ! i Have purchased mira 2012 old shape) kindly recommended engin oil bata deyn .0w,20,05-30 or w10-40. secondly. getting a very bad fuel average 11,11.5, millage is 108000 .very worried about fuel consumption.
CVT oil kon sa use karoon .and any good workshop jahan sey good tunnig and scaning ho jaey .

Wa Alaikum Salam. I would suggest 5w-30, fully synthetic, 100% genuine and original oil from some reputed brand, meeting latest API SN / SN +, and / or ILSAC GF-5 criteria.

In a nutshell, go for Total Quartz 9000 Future Series 5w-30, and change oil + filter after every 5,000 Kms. Always use genuine filters.

Regarding fuel efficiency, check following items, and clean / replace; whichever applies:

Throttle Body,
MAF sensor,
Spark Plugs,
Air Filter, and
Catalytic Converter.

Always maintain proper Tire Pressure, and also have wheels balanced and aligned, if not done recently.

These are all myths. Nothing happens as long as engine is healthy and fully maintained.

Even if you drive for 5 lac Kms, you can keep using the same engine oil grade / viscosity.

Hello sir. It seems you have a good knowledge about daihatsu Mira. Can you give some reference document for mira maintenance intervals like transmission oil, engine oil, brake oil change, air filter, ac filter, oil filter change intervals, timing belt replacement intervals. I mean to say I need intervals for all maintenance/ replacement routines. Thanks

Brother I do not have any reference document for maintenance intervals, however, to give you some idea, please note down following:

transmission oil

If your vehicle is equipped with CVT, then change CVTF after every 40-60,000 Kms.

I am not sure, what is the exact CVT for your car, however, I believe, this CVTF would meet / exceed CVTF requirements for your car.

Also have the CVTF Filter cleaned / replaced (replacement is preferable)

engine oil

0w-20, 5w-20, 5w-30, and at max., 10w-30 are the usual recommended engine oil grades for 660-1000 cc JDM cars.

Before final selection, please mention some details about your car; like model year, odometer reading, which oil is currently in use, and what is the drain interval (i.e. after how many Kms, you change oil + oil filter)?

brake oil change

Its usually changed after 1 lac Kms / 05 years, whichever comes first. Use DOT3 or DOT4 Brake fluid only. Brakes fluid details here.

Same is the drain interval for Radiator Coolant, i.e. 1 lac Kms / 05 years, whichever comes first.

Caltex coolant is best value for money, and may even last 250,000 Kms, but never pour it in concentrated form. Pour it mixed with water in 50:50 ratio. Details of Caltex Coolant here.

Whenever you replace coolant or brakes fluid, pour the new fluids after proper flushing.

air filter

Always use genuine, OEM one, and replace it after 10-20,000 Kms, but depending. If it gets very dirty early and quickly, or you live at a place where sandstorms are there, then it may require very early replacement.

Have it thoroughly cleaned with pressurized air, after every 02 weeks, and when beyond further cleaning, have it replaced with new one.

ac filter

Same instructions as mentioned for air filter above.

oil filter change intervals

5,000 Kms, i.e. with every oil change.

timing belt replacement intervals

Brother no idea about it.
