Hello experts, kindly guide me upon a situation that I have recently purchased an old vehicle. It has been transferred to my name. Old transfer deed, old booklet and previous smart card is held with me. Upon purchasing, the previous owner told me that the original file is held excise dept but I have asked them to return the file they say there is no file in their office against my vehicle. What should I do in this situation? Is file still important as the vehicle is transfer on my name and it will be transferred to next buyer?
