This problem occur sometime during drive..
And max speed of my ek wagon is 60km/hr from some days..
It is 2009 model.I bought it recently.
Plz tell me what's this problem...
I spend a lot of money to buy it.
But now I m facing this problem
Plz guide me properly...
Where I should scan this problem.recommend any good place in Lahore..

i always use havoline deposit shield 3Litre in EK wagon and its been more than 2 years now i am fully satisfied with it, even sometimes if i change it after 4000km due to my susti, mechanic doesn't believe that car drove even 3000km because of clear oil. my problem is i was out of country and my father took EK to a (thug) official Nissan workshop on GT road rawalpindi and they fooled him and removed catalyst converter although EK was not having any issue. i wanted to know is it a bad thing that its removed now? they didn't even give it back to us.

U seriously need to call me. I have been done with exactly same thugging. and have my article a page or two ago on this very forum on this very issue. Yes the average drops, noise increases.

and there are solutions to it. and they work fine.

google for images of "sparkplug defoulers used as O2 sensor extender" and "O2 sensor wiring 1uF capacitor 1Mohm resistor"
incase i am unable to motivate you, use torque with ODB2, and find that you have dropped your average from 21+ to 12.5or13km/l just by removing cat.

cat is available at saddar ahata and khooh. around 7 to 10k pkr. ...... i ve done the extender solution, it fools the ECU to show the cat as present but does not bring fuel average back. hv personally tested, n hv done wiring stuff just couple of days back, if result is not satisfactory, heck i ll be going to rumbles for finding a suitable cat.

cats.... ah the cats. how much we dont know their usefulness.

b/t/w nowadays working on direct port control. i.e controlling via laptop, and programming the ECU to comm with Wifi etc. aim is that Ek should send periodically check all signals everytime, driving or not, even when we r away. and report it live to an interface, this interface reports data to a web interface. maintains logging. and hence we can get a complete record of what n where the WTF happened. plus security, whenever data logging stops, or any of the sensors go really wild, it should email, sms and call us to let us know that EK is not there, or behaving like a badbaby. but thats boring i know. apologies for disturbing.

asif i am very impressed with your knowledge of cars, i had seen your extensive explaination of cat in previous posts, but sadly i am a total newbie to cars, i am doctor and can touch tummy and know whats going inside but i am totally useless when it comes to cars. so guide me,
1. should i go back to nissan workshop and ask for giving us back our catalytic converter?
2. should i go to some workshop and ask for these jobs you mentioned [which i couldn't understand ]

its such a bad thing that if they had stolen ur car, it was nicer cz it was onetime death, they have tormented you with a slow death. each moment you drive is painful, you are hearing the honker, you personally are in the exhaust system listening to every frigging hurr hurr it makes. and then you are looking at your fuel guage to see WTF happened to my 3000pkr worth of petrol which i filled just couple of days ago. and each moment you drive slow to reduce noise thinking that you are helping, but not.

moreover by removal of cat, and having the O2secondbank (aftercat O2 sensor which you can look at just by seeing it under front bumper mid) having this O2 sensor directly in the way of hot exhaust gas, you are overheating and killing the sensor itself. after 6 months or so, it will die permanently and the fun begins then, O2banker is not there, ECU is at leisure to control Air to fuel mixture because of open loop, it ll not even listen to MAF (airflow sensor), and it would be better to buy a yamaha100 of 76 model rather than your shiny EK as per fuel economy. [with all my respects to Yamaha makers and owners]. needless to mention the uncontrolled flow consequences on the injectors. sweatness.

let me tell u honestly that the mitti (chemicals inside the catalytic converter, the fine mesh, the nice grey colored thing) that sells worth PKR 8 to 10k per kg. you can confirm this at gawalmandi cylenser walas.

it is an international common business. just google for "catalytic converter chemical selling" or even have a look at http://www.sellyourcatsdirect.com/

they have taken money from your good father firstly to remove it, then to "clean" it. and taken the "fazool mitti" added up with the mitti removed from previous vehicles, and stored safely for monthly sale worth good amount of money.

I myself am in the same boat. and can help you with two things.
if you just want to get rid of SES / CEL (check engine light) or dilaasa to your heart, you can try the extender method. read my article on it a couple of pages ago.

if you want to go further like me(darn risky coz i dont know if ECU will respond after a minute or not) then you can try the wiring method as i have done, ..... currently monitoring the results on it. and will be moving ahead in the light of it.

or you can get a cat from khooh, say no to fuss, and reinstall the cat. cross your fingers and pray in your good time to Allah kareem that cat u installed is not a choked one. and i am sure 90% your problem will get sorted.

i am a warrior with myself, i could v got the cat from khooh in first place, but i want to see how much fun it is.

answer to your question1:
fazool mitti c sir, e workshop e asadi koi dustbin te hay nahi k asi smhal k rakhiyay miti nu v, te oh choke c jisdi waja to kadh dita. e asaday mulk da environment di waja to choke c, tusi v masoos keeta hosi k gaddi zara khull k chaldi ey"....... by Allah i dont know how he considers himself a genius, as if the engineer who put the cat in first place was an idiot.
nutshell: u cant get it back.

answer to question2
u go to another workshop, the will take your car, open the bumper, send one of their guys to khooh to buy "mistoobeshi ek di japani mitti wali dholki jisda sensor agay lgda ey" (they refer to firstO2 in front, bcz 2001-2004 had firstO2 on the rear), and after getting it, they ll install it. they would ve bought it worth 5pkr and will install it to you for 20pkr.

i ud say to do some homework first. i ll be the first one to get cat if all else fails. : )

im having a facing a issue as I turned on AC my car ek wagon it seems like too much burden load on it and it does not accelerate as it normally accelerate without AC, also sometimes when AC is on it sounds like ghrrr.. ghrr. my question is, is it normal thing? or something is wrong in car? without AC my car runs fine.
