i also went to some nissan official in karachi.. he said catalytuc converter ia choked n he repaired it any how. after reading ur comment i was worried n just saw that catalytuc converter is in its place Thanks God

I have nissan otti 2011.. having auto tentioner belt noise on Ac... bad noise that car cannot accelerate...plus i want to know that from where i can get plug spanner "paana" ? all panaas tried but failed.. its 16 size i guess

Remember the old problem in almost all EiKs; fluttering sound form serpentine belt and belt tensioner when car is in D mode and AC is on. Several people has complained this problem, including Nissan Otti. This is because of faulty Serpentine Belt Tensioner, an auto-adjusting pully responsible to maintain stretch and pressure of the belt when AC is on or off. When tensioner doesnt work properly, it cant absorb and flutters. I'd been using a work around and recommended fellows to tighten belt as alternative; from 4PK-1540 to 4PK-1520. It worked but it's affect lasts only a few months, then problem appears again.

Now, I am planning to import that part, Serpentine Belt Tensioner form the Japan. Traced out the actual retail product from the OEM vendor, who has supplied this part to Mitsubishi. Also, found out that this same part is used in following vehicles.

Mitsubishi EK Wagon (Turbo/Sports)
Mitsubishi Minica
Mitsubishi Pajero Mini
Nissan Otti

Ek parts r real PIA (pain in the ***) to find. let alone the cost. n compared to vitz, its less runner too. but the smoothness, calmness, satisfaction in ek is uncomparable. ... it does not run like a sportscar, but is THE most graceful jdm out there. n i blv the one with most features IMHO.

Ek parts r real PIA (pain in the ***) to find. let alone the cost. n compared to vitz, its less runner too. but the smoothness, calmness, satisfaction in ek is uncomparable. ... it does not run like a sportscar, but is THE most graceful jdm out there. n i blv the one with most features IMHO.

thats a valid point bro. parts price is not isssue if parts are hard to find then thats a real issue whats your openion about meera 2007 model and its spare parts

i have been using Nissan otti since 3 years and had never got a problem.and parts are easyly available now.even i bought its all brake pads from a local spare shop in Johar town.broke a rear light glass and new light was just in Rs 7000. i know in past days importing a light wold cost 25000 etc but now market is flooded with parts.just you name it.from engine to every thing.

Waaah bhaai ye tu kamaal nai ho gayaa. Engine Air Filter ke saath bhi yehi salook NA Karen .... Na rahega engine na ho ga filter na rahe hi car or na hi koi tension.

Mira and Alto have a greater sparepart availability, but then again, if i were you, with all the hurdles of parts etc, i would ve chosen EK, 1 for its looks, 2 for its features, 3 for its smoothness, ... even when i own it, whenever i see another EK at road, i feel the driver is lucky to have it. funny but true.
