hey anyone knows about mitsubishi fto sports car in details .. engine specs are 2000cc v6 mivec 24valve dohc with tiptronic transmission !! i mean i wanted to know about it performance and power and popularity factor in pakistan !! and yes for the price of this car (13-15lakh for 95/96 model)u can eaily get 1994/95 mazda rx7 or 1990 model 300zx twinturbo . there are 2 fto's in islamabad !! MIVEC goes for the engine technology from mitsubishi just like VTEC from honda and VVTI from toyota .....cheerz ...

FTO is FWD car and mevic gives it a punch but its not a hard core racing machine, its more of a joy ride.

Will be hard to source parts and expensive to maintian.

my chacha had a FTo , it was in black colour , twin transmission trip tronic and automatic . road grip was very go0od , but the problem was u cant race it with any car coz the car was auto and in trip tronic picking up in high rpm result in gear break ., even a GTti can eat tht car , easily , chacha sold it to a person who took the car to islamabad , now chacha have a 96 prelude which 2.2 dohc vtec 200 hp stock ,

yeah earlier 1st generation triptronic by mitsu called INVECS/INVECS-I had few problems e.g. grear changing automatically and not to high revs or droping gears at low revs, and alot of other transmission problems.

but the INVECS-II is simply supurb
its like driving a manual

but guess what it works with your ECU
and learns from your drivign style

so even in fully auto modem if you change gear at higher rev it will learn and do it for you

all you have to do is to dissconenct battery to clear the ECU memory of you old driving style.

thanks alot freinds !! i think then i better stick to my gtxx and zx300 as i thought that 2000cc dohv v6 will be able to smoke vti turbos ands gtti easily .. thanks really mates !cheerz
