Mitsubishi lancer 2005 GTX- require guidance related to transmission replacement

I have a Mitsubishi Lancer 2005 GTX (automatic) - I started facing issues with my transmission 2-3 days ago after a complete overhaul of my engine last week. The issue started when the car was put to Drive mode from Neutral and after a while the N icon started blinking. Took the car to a mechanic and they checked using their device and reported issues in the solenoid and third-gear synchronizer. The mechanic has now advised on replacing the whole module for a cost of around 70 k and I wanted to know if getting it repaired is advisable as a mechanic quoted 30 k for it and am not sure if the 'new' replacement would be good as well. I would advice to go and see the professional mechanic.
There is a guy in Rawalpindi, he only works on Mitsubishi cars.
His name is Yasir, 0315 5177482.
You can google his name and find the exact location as well. The workshop is no 3S dealership but Yasir
has depth of knowledge that is not found anywhere.
Opinion won't hurt.
