Mitsubishi Lancer ac compressor load

Hi there.
I have a 2004 Mitsubishi Lancer 1.3 GL. I am running it on petrol. The problem i am experiencing is that when i turn on the ac, it puts too much load on the engine. Pick up gets too low. Fuel consumption get wayy too high. I mean its giving me 6-7 KM/ litre. Without ac its running great.
For info, ac has ice cold cooling. No noises from compressor. Belts are okay. Then why too much load, as car gets really heavy to drive.
Does any one have this problem?
Any suggestions / ideas appreciated!

I am experiencing same problem along with way to vibration on stop with AC on and Tranny on D (Drive).
After long research, reading blogs and forums and watching videos on same issues, I found that Lancer has a generic issue of IAC valve [Idle Air Control] (also know as stepping motor/RPM control/Air Valve/IAC Sensor/Air Sensor) getting faulty. A picture for your reference:

May be following answer by some Gora will help you understand better.

By the way, you can first go with cleaning the IAC valve but its recommended to change the bloody thing.

Dewan @ 4-8k new
Car Market @ 2.5k used (like Shershah and Bilal Ganj)

A/C issue is solved. A/C is chilling and working absolutely perfect. No need to replace IAC Valve. Just clean it in a month with throttle body cleaner and it will be good to go. Beware not to drop it.

i'm also facing same issue... and visited few electricians in Rwp/isb and every one recommends to change it with Kabli one as no new part is avaialble with local Mitsu dealers.

good. so did you order thru exact part number or what? what about custom issues in Pakistan?

I went through several sites. got few references from there regarding part number.
There was no customs issue. I received the package on 21st day at doorstep.

Pakistan Post are doing their job well.

Now i am thinking to get throttle body from Ali Express.
Not sure about the correct part number. Research is going on...

So actually your AC compressor was fine right? My Liana is doing same issue. Its rpms dips on ac and suddenly car dies. Too vibrations in engine on ac

Get your car computerised tune up. It will tell you whether a sensor is faulty or not. Also get your ac checked py an expert "ac wala". From my experience ,For karachites, if you are having ac issues like faulty compressor/condensor/gas issues, visit Macca Car Ac. Located near karimabad, in the street of habib medical centre. Shop owner is "nadeem bhai". He can guide you better, and would charge a kind if very reasonable price.
