Yes there is so much uncertainty and no firm timeline or plan, so I'm being cautious too. Just want to ensure to keep my cars in running condition by starting every couple of days and taking short drives once a week.

@nnabeel Bhai right about that, we literally die to have such time so we can spend it working on our cars but we can't cause if a certain thing breaks you will have to go to Gulshan E Maymar (yes gulshan e maymar's market is open till 11 in the night) to get parts for a Suzuki, Mitsubishi will be a pain if some thing such happens.

@Rahat083144 trying to do the same sir, cleaning, starting a little bit driving and alternate trips to FTC is turns. So every one keeps rolling...

My isolation day 2 because my leaves started on 1st May. Took the leave because if you are alive and healthy you will fulfill your duties better but if you carry a deadly virus you are a murderer...

Not much to do at home since the renovation of the house has stopped for obvious reasons and I am not a very huge fan of Turkish dramas hence getting time to work on me cars...

My 91 Lancer will be sent for complete body restoration since it desperately needs one the windscreen edges are puttied up, paint is falling off etc etc.. plus she is now 29 years old and deserves some care. But all will be done after the home renovation and the Subsiding of pandemic.

But I am doing at home what I can... Will be very soon sourcing the valve seals for the engine because they are leaking.. some suspension bits and will soon do a brake overhaul my self inshallah..

In the means while I am looking to the AC vents for the car. The issue is they are badly worn out and some of the things are missing cause it has been our childhood car you can understand.. and it is usually standing parked for months and sometimea it is parked on the sun hence the hardened plastic..

This middle grill was in pieces basically will all the flaps missing I had time today so used some old Suzuki grills and did the best I can. Yes it needs finishing and a lick of paint but still.

I have sourced all the AC vents from shershah at absolutely stupid cost but due to reasons known to everybody they haven't been delivered yet..

May Allah save us from this Pandemic Ameen.

I have the center grill for mehran and I also have the the broken bits and pieces but thinking of completing the puzzle and smoothening everything out with a 3000 grit sand paper...

Hand it prepared sir, got the cable made, and the meter serviced but didn't put it in.. I my self am a little nervous when it comes to wiring things up hence leaving it for after the Pandemic inshallah.. The Alto one is working fine though..

My Khyber since there almost no Spares available is drivable but needs some new bearing which I am unable to get. The problem is I want bearings that are OEM and not Chinese so they work for considerable amount of time hence not driving the car just for precaution.

Means these days my daily driver is my 88 Lancer and she is being quite relaible... Allahumdullilah.

Yes she is dirty and needs to be polished..

Today when I was out doing grocery the Mart / super store where is get the usual stuff from had this 82' Suzuki 800 (FX) not for sale on a little investigation turnsout it is owned by the properitor of the store. He told me he has it since new, needs shit load of work but still working and hauling him from Maymar to Waterpump.

Damn, I'm not an expert but that FX body looks spent. Your car looks nice MashaAllah and a bit of hand polish followed by wax should do the trick.

Yup @Rahat083144 sir that FX will need a complete body restoration.. I hope this lockdown settles and the guy keeps this as long as my 91 gets painted. I am willing to rescue it.. I have found quite a good denter.. still looking for a good paint shop though.

No the AC is not functional, had an appointment with a famous AC Wala who did the AC of my Khyber but lockdown happened... Yes you are right sir the heat is killing, but you have to make do what you have right now.

Had an estimate nof about 30k which will convert the system to newer R134...

I keep Windows open if I see no crowd. And close it when I see a bit of rush... And the blower is on constantly.

Wow that's insane. Crazy hot these days. I not only start my cars regularly but also turn on the AC just to keep it functioning - without AC car would be scary these days. Hope you can get yours fixed soon.

Yes sir I am willing to but the thing is can't compromise parts hence waiting for the guy to open his workshop... Then will send the car to him.

In the mean while arranged the bearingsnof the Khyber in the evening today that will be done.. surprisingly AC is working in my Khyber even after 3 years of getting it fixed...

Not for the front they are fine the rear one were sounding quite bad inspire of the grease means they were almost done..

Why not use the 91 instead? Or does that also have a non-functional ac.

Sir 91 is currently parked at the workplace we have.. so it is somewhat inaccessible. I will have to drive into a crowded area, sanitize it wash it and then drive it. Before last time a couple of weeks ago I had it started and some stuff pulled out of it so it can repair them e.g the AC grills / vents..

The 2005 is being used by my sis to and from JPMC so that is out of question. Although Khyber is Working again from today, hence contacting the AC guy to send the 88 for AC..
