Mitsubishi Mini Pajero AC in Suzuki Baleno 1.6

Dear brothers,

I have Suzuki Baleno GTI 1.6. My AC compressor have been damaged and I cannot afford new compressor of Baleno which is 9k around at the moment. May I use MSC60C Mitsubishi Mini Pajero Compressor in that? Can anyone suggest me, it cost around 2.5k easily getting from Karachi. Braket and lines cost 1.5k.
Can this get heavy load on engine or is it normal?

Now a days ac wala guys are using honda life compressor because mini pajero and duet compressors are scarce and costly.

u can use it it will work good. make sure that all the switches and thermostat of ac working fine.

What is expected price of Honda Life Compressor? Because Mini Pajero Compressor i am getting in Rs. 2500...

i suggest, try to get original compressor for baleno, as the smaller ones wont be able to provide adequate cooling needed in hot summer days, all ac components are carefully selected according to system design n putting any low capacity part wont b suitable,,,

@xenerking thanks for suggestion, my issue for budget at the moment.. cannot afford ... one of my frnd install mitsubishi compressor in his Suzuki Liana and getting very good result with chilld cooling... he bought it in Rs. 3500..

baleno has a piston compressor which is a workhorse, in my car its working for almost 19 years now...n i only got AC serviced 1 time in 167k mileage, that too when i shifted from serpentine to mf condenser...

u wud be needed additional brackets, adjusting wheels belts, also wud be altering refrigerant pipes etc, i dont think it wud be a big difference in cost...

imagine installing 1 ton ac unit in 15 x 15 room

every compressor has it capacity and inlet/outlet pressure reading mentioned, if it matches or close to original one, then u can try, but still my vote is for the original piston type...

@xenerking bro many thanks... you are absolutely correct 100%.... I will go to Karachi tomorrow and 1st try to repair my genuine compressor because my AC technician in Hyderabad rejected it that it cannot be repaired.... I will check everything before installing that one.....

try sabbir as recommended by other pw members

piston compressor can be repaired using a repair kit, but need an expert technician who has done it before...

my cousin had got the ac done from sabir in his baleno. his original compressor got shot. so due to non availability they put a terious compressor. And yes brackets had to be done which sabir recommended a shop at tariq road. He went there and the guy installed the compressor with bracket then n there. All the remaining things were same. the cooling is chilled.

Last week i went to sabir for an alto work. there was a 2015 model corolla and an old passo was getting its ac done completely. Sabir himself told that due to costly compressors, they are now using honda life compressor as they are available and cheap.

Dear brothers, yesterday i visited to my friend's cousin shop which is located opposite New Town Police Station namely Asif Car A/C. He checked my compressor and found that my Baleno already had Terios compressor and he sent it to repair guy at Tariq Road but 3 technicians rejected to repair it as it was fully dead. I asked him to install Mitsubishi but it cost 4500 plus bracket and lines charges so I decided to buy Terious compressor finally, it cost 8000 as only difference 2/3000 and he said Terious cooling much better than Mitsubishi as it only works on high RPM. He installed Terious and my AC is chilled now with good through, he also told me it takes very less load of Engine, total cost 13000 (compressor, pulley, gas, labour, filter) and solid work has been done as I checked it during travel from Karachi to Hyderabad, working fine. Thanks all for precious suggestions.
