actually my friend want to buy one of these two.....he has 13-15 lak in hand......but confused..........so m here asking u car lovers that which is the best option to take...?

Hello, well in this amount suggest him to buy a SURF 96-98, Reconditioned 2006... Surf prices range from 10.50 to 12.50 Lacs for regular models and from 13.50 to 15.50 Lacs for reconditioned models.

A good condition 1993 Pajero is overall better than a 1993 Prado let alone Surf. Ill definately go for Pajero if its between Surf and Pajero. The reasons are, It has better built quality, better interior, much larger, better looking, alot comfortable. Surf has not a single advantage over a pajero.

Surf is much better as Toyota Engine is better then Mitsubishi,
2ndly Toyota parts are cheep
3rdly off road quality of surf is better due to high ground clearance
Only thing i like about Pajero is its driving postion,
Most important thing is to find a good car, when you are going to buy used one.
So my suggestion is look for both cars and get what you find in better condition with better price.

if resale and parts are concerned then Surf is better. The Surf has wierd driving position and cramped inside. Its not comfortable for long drives at all. The 1993 onwards came with 1kz engine which is a good engine as compared to pajero but its fuel thirsty.
